  • Could have been legendary.

Selection of paints and models is out of date. All features of this app are awesome, but are severely hampered by the out of date product selection.

    Could have been legendary
  • Out of date!!

Needs updating due to theirs loads of new figurines and paint that are missing.

Needs to add the feature where you can view the figures from a 360 angle and from above as well so that we can see what the colours and contrast are rather than having to go to the website every time.

Needs to add a community link within the app so people can upload their models for others to see and view. Best ones get put through the website or something like that (judged by public).

  • Would be 5 stars but

I love this app it is so hand and useful, but the paint by model search is missing stuff. Like the entire sisters of battle collection, so it’s more than just a few, which is the only reason it doesn’t get a 5, thank you very much for this app
  • Would be excellent if updated

Very convenient in design, but sadly not updated since one year ago, making the inventory and wishlist much less usefull.
    It’s a shame, really…
  • Needs an update

I love using this as a paint inventory and shopping tool, as well as a way to brainstorm some color combos. You can track which paints you own and add paints to a wishlist that can help you when at the store if, like me, you tend to forget which paints you need on the spot.

However, this app hasn’t been updated since before the Indomitus box for 40k releases, and so it’s missing paints that are new since then. In addition, the tutorials and guides section needs to be updated with newer videos to support the newer models released since Duncan left.

It still sees some use, but it is quickly becoming obsolete without these needed updates.

  • Lack of syncing and missing paints

It’s practically offensive that the app doesn’t sync across iOS devices! Okay, maybe that’s a bit strong, but my iPad is my desktop device for organising my projects and cataloguing my paints. All that work is meaningless when it’s not carried across to my phone if I’m in store and know I need to grab a paint, or have an idea for a project. Also, you can’t add custom colour palettes to the projects, which feels restrictive. I understand showing all the palettes using a SM backpack, but for flesh tones, leather, and other organic tones, it doesn’t really help. There is also a major lack of tutorials, there appears to be nothing for any of the Necromunda range for example. Overall it’s lacking some content, but mostly features, especially for a fairly established app at this point.

  • Amazing... when you learn

This app is amazing with all of the tutorials, wishlist and paint inventory and the models. But man is it tough to learn right away. I wish there was a tutorial before the app started to show me how to use some of the less than obvious features like saving models and the specific colors. There are also some paint colors missing like tesseract glow.

I also think the model selection should be expanded but that's not detrimental to the painting itself. The ones that are in are useful and give a good color scheme without going through 100 google image pages.

9/10 app and 10/10 paint and customer support.

  • Good, but

I like how it gives you ideas for painting and an inventory, but the selection is out of date. I cannot seem to find Tesseract glow. Am I just not seeing it? Other than that, it’s great. More models would be great too.
  • NO LONGER SUPPORTED

This is a decent app for keeping track of Citadel paints (there are other apps that will allow tracking of other manufacturers too though). It also has a wishlist function, although no way to note that you have more than one pot of a paint.
However, GW have stopped supporting this app and their newer paints are no longer being uploaded. They also had a habit of removing paints they no longer sold from the list, even though you might still have a pot or two.
Look elsewhere for a supported app and/or one that allows others manufacturers paints too.

  • Missing some newer paints and shades

I really like this app a lot. It has helped me manage my paint inventory and set up a wishlist of paints that I need to pick up on my next trip to the store. The app has definitely inspired me to paint more and I’m deep diving into Citadel paints.

With that said, there are some issues like missing paints and shades. You also can’t place an order in the app. I’d love even just a feature to email my local shop the stuff I want to buy when I’m in next or they can order for me.

Another thing I would like to see is a default setting in projects. For instance, if I’m paintinga few beginner sets, I would like the projects section to allow me to select the default paint suggestion rather than me going in and manually selecting colors. The manual option is great for when I’ve developed skills but not as much as a beginner.

I would love to talk to the developers to provide some more feedback because this app could be truly amazing.
