The worst app
With all of the competition with cameras and alarms out there, you would think slomins would take there app operation seriously and compete. I am locked out of my camera because I can’t reset my password, they have to send someone to my house to do that, what a waste of time!!!!! Once my contract up, I’m done with them!!!!

Must fix multi user access
This feature not being available defeats the purpose of having a camera. Both me and my husband should be able to login at the same time. This is enough to make me want to switch to ADT! Their app has this functionality with thousands giving it a 5 star rating.
Can’t have multi-users signed into app
If my spouse signs into app it automatically signs me out - without me knowing. I no longer get notifications, especially when doorbell rings, it’s too late to quickly sign back in. It does say add user, when I do this, it tells me it emailed a request to new user but email doesn’t ever come through. This is a huge inconvenience. There has to be a way that the 2 of us can stay logged into app at the same time. Otherwise, the concept does not work at all. Extremely disappointed. If customer service told me this before we installed the camera, we would not have done it!! This MUST be fixed please.

The app works good with the camera. Video quality is ok, I wish the camera had audio option.

Upside down
My door bell video changes to upside down viewing and I can’t stand it. Tried many times to correct it with out success.

App is HORRIBLE
Upset that only one person can be logged on at a time to view cameras or get notifications! The inconvenience of logging in every time you need to check the house!! Not to mention you don’t even know when you are logged out so now you need to check with whoever was logged in for footage. Had I known this I would have just went with RING instead of wasting $500+ 🤦🏻♀️

Very deficient
It's a start, but far from being a 5-star app. In the coming updates it needs the following:
1) ability to see the cameras feed in real time. There is a 30 second to 45 second delay.
2) allow to create different users to login and see the cameras. When you try to use this app in different devices, it logs off the view in other devices.
3) landscape view
4) the ability to have multiple camera views in a single screen in real time
5) access to full recording history of each camera.
6) full integration to the MyShield App. The cameras are not visible at all although the presets are there.

1-4, 6 have been addressed, 5 is still spotty. This update has been really good, it’s slightly better than standard surveillance equipment available on the market. As of now, it’s acting as the software we were promised a couple of years ago. I upgraded to 4 stars because it took them so long to address the issues while we were stuck in their contract.

Worst Service
Since I have gotten this it has been the worst experience. It’s always something going on with app use. It’s loses automatically connection to camera and drops password. It’s also impossible to use verification code to connect back. If it happens on a Friday you can’t get customer service assistance no one for two days.
Also, you can’t always log in from anywhere at all times. Also one incident my son can in from out of town and enter with his code and my phone app never went off to let me know he had arrived. I found up when I pulled up in front of the house that he was there. If I had known I could have returned home earlier.

Rethink before you sign
It has been almost two yrs since I signed with Slomin’s. Video quality not to shabby. The app horrible!!!! You don’t have rights to your video. I only have two cameras. One camera was installed wrong we found this out by it malfunctioning multiple times. Second camera has just started to malfunction. I have been in contact with Slomins. They say a supervisor will call back. They say a tech can make it out in a week with a window of 8 hrs in that date assigned. I’m sorry but ridiculous. I pay a service for protection of my home. Lot can happen in a week. Also, I paid a lot for these two cameras. I’m stuck in a contract that binds me to pay a lot to break. Soooooo not worth it. Need video to protect your home. Go with the old VCR. As they have bundles that come with 5 cameras. Sad I am still fitting to resolve the issue. Also, they state I have to pay for fixing as the warranty is up. I’m fighting that as I think it on there end not mine.

A disappointment
Unable to adjust the sensitivity, originally difficult to set sensitivity but now no longer able to make any changes to any aspect including which area to sense. Had I known this back then I would never have selected Slomin
