I have an iPhone X and the recent software updates are awesome. Videos buffer well and connection is great. Please pass on to the software team that they did a great job. Better than the Blackvue and Thinkware and way more stable. THANK YOU!Alex the Great :)
Nothing Special, But It Works
This app is nothing special. It’s not fancy. It’s pretty barebones. But it does work. I haven’t had any issues besides the “back” button being in Chinese which is a little annoying. Live view works. Settings toggles work. And I’m able to watch old footage. It’s very utilitarian. I do wish the app logo was a little sleeker on my home screen though.Show lessiTouchAppReviewers
Useless
Very unreliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Needs to be fixed because I bought the camera partly because of the app.DAPPA
Decent camera app is awful!!!
Camera works great however app is total garbage,live view keeps freezing.I have a taxi company and purchased 3 of these, they all have same problem.drivers are constantly refreshing them when they should be concentrating on the road.sought it out pleasescousecabby
No live preview iOS 13.2.2 iPhone 11 Pro
Everything works fine except the live preview, I am not sure I even would care about the live preview other then setting up the camera for the best driving lighting conditions. I was able to do it by recording and pulling the video, but live preview would have been nice here.Akballow
Needs some Serious work
You can’t see little picture previews of the things to download. Makes it very hard.
Also you can’t play previews - it just crashes the app. You have to download them over wifi before watching it, only to realise it’s the wrong video and 10+ tries.cateroseg
Excellent app
Everyone who complains, have you contacted them about the issue? Whenever I contact them about any issue, they email me back within 24 hours and make a ticket. Within a few days they release and update which fixes the issue. The app is extremely stable now, so before anyone complains, try to help them out because they are a dedicated team of engineers and programmers. A1+ 5 star customer service!Show lessryan718su
Doesn’t work as advertised
Extremely disappointed. Live view does not work unless you turn your phone’s cellular service off... which is dumb.
If the app doesn’t crash when you try to play videos, it can take up to 20 mins to load and play a 3min video, and even longer if you want to download it to your phone (not an exaggeration).
As of the most recent update, and am not able to download or play videos at all without the app crashing.
VIOFO seems to pretty frequently update the app to “fix bugs”... but it is getting worse and harder to use with each update.
The dashcam itself has it’s own issues, and has randomly deleted recent and important footage I needed when the camera indicated it was recording at the time of that footage.
I’ve had my VIOFO dashcam for about 4 months now. My only expectations were for it to work as advertised. It does not.
I am very disappointed in VIOFO and I do regret the purchase of my viofo dashcam - if you’re debating on purchasing one - there are many other options in the same price range that work as intended. I’ll likely be switching to a different one soon.Show lessJmauney5
Poor App
Absolute rubbish. Pairing us always an issue. Stops and starts recording on its own. Cannot view the files in app mode.

Works.. Sometimes
When connected through WiFi , live feed does not work unless my iphone 7+ is in airplane mode. When trying to view videos recording needs to be stopped, when trying to record again the app freezes and does not allow me to press record through the app or the device itself. Only thing that solves the issue is turning the car off and restarting the camera. Not convenient for a frequent traveler. The settings and parking mode needs to be fixed as it does not switch to auto record when vehicle ignition is on. All videos should be saved to some sort of cloud on the app as opposed to having to transfer every single video in order to properly view it. Yes, trying to view videos through the app on WiFi is a complete waste of time as videos won’t load even if right next to the device. If the App is fixed and functional.
