Love this app
A lot of other apps cost a lot or have too many adds, but this one is just right. I feel like Goldilocks of Japanese learning apps. Also the tracer for the different symbols is a nice mechaniclillirockee

Simple but very useful
I use this app alongside Duolingo to learn Japanese and I find it so much more helpful to know how to write the characters too. I love the simple layout of the app - it’s not confusing at all and is very easy to use and understand. Great app, would recommend using it with another language app as it really does help to enhance the learning.Show lesssilliestsausage

I’m currently learning and this app has helped me so much. I didn’t learn how to write correctly so this apps is easy to use on the go for some practice. This is totally helping me with my handwriting and memorizing. Absolutely recommend for new learners.momopeach207
Learning System Could be a Little Better.
First off, I’d like to say that the writing is a little too forgiving. It sometimes says I’m right when I know that I was far from matching the line. Second, the practice lesson before the tests are too easy. In the practice lesson it tells you the answer and immediately after you write it so the practice problems are ultimately useless because you just saw the answer. Thirdly, the review tool on the app costs money to use. I realize developers need to make money but I thought for free learners like me I’d just mention that. And lastly, the app only covers hiragana and katakana. No kanji, vocabulary, or anything.Show lessGiga_Savagss
One issue
Really want to give this app 5 stars, except there is one issue preventing me doing so. On my iPhone XR, sometimes I am not able to press advance after completing a character. I hope the developers see this and can fix it. I’ll be more than happy to update my review afterwards.vppaul
Great for leaning!

It’s completely free! And a great app! But...
I love this app because I’m learning Japanese and it helps me to be able to learn how to write the letters and see the detail so I can memorize them and learn them even better, and it la completely free!?! WHAT?! I’ve downloaded so many apps to help me learn how to write Japanese and they all only let me take one small lesson and then I have to pay but this app is amazing, other than the adds which you barely get this app is amazing, it’s just that o have one thing, it’s kinda annoying when you write something and it corrects the lines, it can be frustrating and it kinda stops me from perfecting the lines when the app does it for me. But that’s all, it’s just kinda annoying, like auto correct . But other then that this app is AMAZINGGGShow lessITS INCREDIBLE!!!

I honestly thought this wasn’t going to work but it did I’m memorizing katakana so fast I know can read and write I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to learn Japanesenikita262122
Good so far
I’ve completed 4 levels so far and it’s really helpful especially when used along with another language app like Duolingo, which I’m using. This helps me to know which direction the strokes go in and tests my memory.xaoi-xu
