Hello, It sounds like you have activated the "Smart on/off" feature in the configuration area. If this is activated the Atem turns itself off when you move your iPhone away from it. And when you move back into the proximity of the Atem it should reactivate the Atem if the app is still active. The "Smart on/off" feature is designed to conserve the filter life and save energy.
