Works really well

It’s pretty responsive and gives you plenty of control over the low medium and high settings. Only down side which is understandable is if you leave the Atem in a hot car in AZ, in the summer, it will be too hot and won’t function at all so you’d need to take the Atem out with you.

Couldn’t connect

After initially setting up the app I could connect but now I have no luck.

Well done product!

Yes. This app is intuitive and easy to use interface with the info you need. It's giving you the filter condition the temp and humidity in the car. It gives control of the unit for fan speed and customizing fan speed and turning unit on or off. It gives access to user manual and other setup details.. It's pretty complete with automatic check for the firmware updates and guides you through the simple update process. It helps you register your product as well.

Should be able to use indoors too

It’s easy to fit although be aware you need to use the alternative fitting method if you have a Tesla Model 3 which will use a seating position as the headrests are fixed. It comes with a car accessory kit but no home accessory kit where this would easily be possible. App is ok and gives you remote control but registration doesn’t work

Just can not pair my Atem device

The app didn’t work after a firmware update. I followed the instructions and even reloaded the app, still can not find my device.

Does Atem Car have Smart On/Off too?

I’ve got an Atem Desktop and an Atem Car. I found the Car version also turned itself off and had to be manually turned on? Is this by design (if so, please make it possible to disable this) or a flaw?

Hello thanks for your feedback. The Atem car does not allow Smart On/Off. This powering off, is a feature to prevent the Atem from draining your vehicles battery. If the Atem does not detect movement for 20mins or you have turned your vehicle off the Atems powers down.

Smart on off no longer works

It was a little buggy before, but now after the firmware and software updates the smart on off feature with the phone Bluetooth no longer works.

Hello sorry to hear that your smart on/off is not working. With the new firmware and bluetooth update you should not be having any smart on/off issues with your Atem. As the sensitivity has been improved you should see a disconnect pop-up once you have moved well out of range. Glitchy

They make good air purifier but technologies they are not

Good features, but...

I like the app features, including the ability to adjust fan speeds higher than the Atem’s default fan speeds for low/medium/high, the display of current temperature and humidity, and the display of filter life, BUT Bluetooth connectivity is poor. Even with my iPhone sitting only 1 foot away, it kept disconnecting, such that firmware updates to the Atem were impossible. Only when I leaned my iPhone against my Atem could I successfully install firmware updates. I can’t use the “Smart on/off” feature because with my iPhone on my bedside table, only 3 feet away from my Atem, the connection is poor enough that my Atem keeps shutting on and off. Bummer. The only way I can reconnect with the Atem after I lose Bluetooth connection with it is to remove the app running in my iPhone’s background and re-launch the app.

Also, I have tried at least 5 times to register my device via the app. Each time I’ve filled out the form and (seeing that my device’s serial number is auto-filled for me) I hit the submit button. Each and every time, I get returned to a blank form! No indication from the app that my registration was successful.

Atem has more work to do on this app.
