  • Very unstable

    I’m not impressed. The WiFi is unstable. Randomly disconnects, despite showing full WiFi signal on the display. The graphing function barely works—Constantly stops at a random percentage with a spinning circle. The odd thing is, the only time I’ve gotten the graph to work is when connected via Bluetooth. This is the only WiFi device in my household that is unstable. My first cook with this thing is a pretty big hassle. I’ll likely return this soon.
  • Not pleased. Brand new out of the box, and it won’t work.

    I wish I had read the previous review. Brand new out of the box, it connected over Bluetooth for 15 seconds before disconnecting and refusing to reconnect. It won’t connect over WiFi, and it won’t update the firmware. It’s not worth the hassle. If I can’t get it working soon, back to the store it will go.
  • Same issue over and over

    This a my fist written review and I’m only writing it because I was so excited to get this thermometer. I seen it last week in Costco and told my wife that I wanted it for Father’s Day. Well today it finally came and I was ready to BBQ. After setting everything up I walked about 10 feet from the thermometer and it started beeping and my phone disconnected. I thought this was weird that it didn’t switch over to WiFi so I moved it closer with no luck. Then I moved my modem, no luck. My modem is literally 10 feet from the dang thing and will not connect. Let me add I can literally be at the park down the street from my house (about 300 ft) and still be on WiFi. Took the first one back thinking it was bad and the second one did the same thing. Got on here to read the reviews and I’m not the only one with this issue. Not worth the money.

  • New firmware fixes major issues

    I was having serious issues with the system disconnecting from Wi-Fi and choosing Bluetooth as the preferred connection. I updated the firmware during my last cook and it appears to have solved all of the issues. I haven’t tried accessing it from the cloud yet. Giving three stars for now until I use it more and try all of the features. Will update to 4 stars if it proves to be robust.
  • DO NOT BUY

    I have received two different grilleye pro plus thermometers. Neither one of them have worked. Both had the exact same problem, they can’t update the new firmware and use Wi-Fi the way that they say they can. The thermometers freeze and crash and then cannot be reset after you attempt to update the firmware. From that point the only way that you can use the thermometer is through Bluetooth and it constantly drops Bluetooth connection. Customer service is zero help whatsoever, you can only contact him through email, and I seem to really not care or want to talk very much as most of the responses you get back from them are two lines Long and contain extremely obvious instructions that everyone would have already tried. You cannot call them on the phone to ask for a real time customer service help. And their devices just simply don’t work. Trust me don’t buy this don’t use this app the entire product isn’t worth it.

Please update your device to the latest firmware and your problem will be solved. - [x] ​​Please go to GrillEye PRo app - Settings - Check Update - Update. - [x] Upon updating firmware, if it is not connected after 4-5 seconds to the cloud , power off / on the device. If this does not work as well, they bring your device close to GrillEye and do the following: - [x] Please go to GrillEye Pro Settings, and press the trash bin icon on the top right corner. - [x] Go to GrillEye Pro Settings - WiFi - Install your WiFi network again. - [x] Quit the app, power off your device, power it on and re open the app. If for some reason while trying to update your firmware you are getting a network error, please do the following: - [x] On your smartphone activate personal hot spot. - [x] After enabling the personal hot spot , open the GrillEye Pro app and change the wifi network using the hot spot WiFi network. - [x] Update your firmware until your reach 1.131. - [x] Then add your normal WiFI network to the GrillEye Pro settings, quit and re open the app and you should be connected. - [x] ​NOTE: Before any update, make sure your device is fully charged.   • Won't update

    Brand new out of the box and it won't stay connected to the internet. Also it can't seem to find the router unless I literally place it within 5 feet of the actual unit. No other pieces of tech have any trouble connecting from anywhere in the house and most of the perimeter. And if that's not enough, it won't update the firmware. 9 times out of 10, it says there is no connection. The other time it will start downloading the new firmware until it hits 70% complete. Then it throws up the same "no connection" error. This is going back to Costco immediately. What a piece of junk. Wasted a couple hours tonight trying to get this thing to work.

  • Has potential

    I really hate products that rely solely on WiFi and blue tooth connections for this reason. This app is constantly losing connection. Every ten to fifteen minutes it send you an alarm that it’s been disconnected. I really wish it would work properly.
  • Frustrating Setup

    All app versions and firmware is up to date. After multiple reinstalls and reboots, still nothing.

    My grilleye shows it’s connected to WiFi/Cloud, yet my app won’t connect over anything but Bluetooth.
  • Awesome

    Just downloaded the updated app with cloud feature and it’s incredible. Now I have no limits when monitoring my food. Impressed!!
  • New updates are phenomenal

    I’ve always loved the app, but with this new update with cloud monitoring it’s EVEN BETTER. I walked to the neighbor’s away from my WiFi signal and it still worked!! I noticed a temp change right away and headed back to the grill. Great app and product!!
