Leave a Review Duke Energy
After 5+ years Duke Energy still doesn't have it right
After hurricane Irma there was no service for 5 1/2 days. Five plus years later, Duke has the same level of service - poor. The area I live in Tampa Bay was not impacted as North Florida. Duke Energy is too big with too many promises about better service that are unfulfilled. We did not have the power outages with Progress Energy as we do with Duke. We will have outages in my area in north Pinellas County in daylight with good weather. Duke is an example of what happens when you have a huge monopoly taking care of an essential service. Poor service, at best. The good news is that the service can't get much worse; it can only get better.Show lessEasy to use
First I am legally blind. I have had lots of experience with different apps and dealt with customer service for years. The Duke employees have always been very pleasant and eager to help. I can easily find my account info and pay my bill. I signed up for notifications so I get TEXTs when there are outages. That way I don’t have to do anything. They send updates until the power is back on! I think the app is great.Show lessQuit complaining folks
I do not understand petty complaints. Obviously many have not lived in remote areas where it takes days to get a normal outage repaired. I had Duke Energy in Central FL over 40 years, way back to when it was called, before Progress Energy. Florida Power . I never once found complaint with my service. Even the cost outweighs many other companies. Living in South GA was a nightmare with power. I am so thankful to be back home with The Duke! Thank you Duke for serving my electrical needs and with a home wiring solutions program.Show less
