    Paying in a cheque is very easy electronically, living overseas this is very painless and a great tool to have to save time and money.

    The check deposit service on the app is really convenient.

    I like the App for most other functions (bill payment, balance checks, etc) but I have wasted far too much time attempting to deposit checks. Checks are constantly rejected
    because of legibility, lighting, position issues.

    I finally opened a checking account at a different bank for rejected deposits The same checks are accepted immediately (100% on the first try, as compared to about 30% with HSBC, and no failures at all, compared to 15-20% with HSBC after many attempts). Since the other bank has actual branches near me, I am considering changing banks totally.

    Simple app to use especially on the move. Real time account information and easy transfer across accounts.

    I am unable to deposit checks through the app. The app doesn’t let me a take a picture properly. Sometimes it doesn’t work. I have try 50 times taking the picture. It keeps giving me an error message.

    I’ve made three unsuccessful attempts to link my checking account with a premier account the phone calls usually an hour long I still do not see the word premiere listed next to my checking account realizing you no longer offer the checking account that I have I have signed this up online been told by two of your customer service rep said it was done I still do not see any results on my banking online please explain to me why everyone tells me this is been taken care of yet I do not see any proof of it nor have I gotten any me any emails confirming that this task has been completed very annoyed very annoyed very annoyed

  • Persistent bug depositing checks

    There’s an issue with depositing checks. If the first image of a check is not accepted, an error message is triggered which says the check should be placed against a dark background. Once this error message comes up once, it will come up again indefinitely, no matter how many attempts are made at fixing the image issues; dead black backgrounds, flash or no flash, it makes no difference. There is no way to get past this error message. I imagine there’s a variable set once the first error state happens, and then it is not cleared prior to subsequent attempts. It does seem the variable is cleared after X amount of time (days?? a week??) and check depositing is then possible again as long as the image is captured correctly the very first time.

    Thanks for your feedback, Lisandro75! We hate to hear that you have not had an optimal experience! We are working hard to continuously improve and feedback such as yours plays a big role! This specific error is triggered when there is an issue reading the check clearly. The prompt to place the check on a dark background is simply given as this has been shown to sometimes help resolve this issue. However, the dark background will not work in all cases and if there is in fact an issue with the check information being read this error will not stop occurring. In these cases you would simply need to deposit that specific check at an HSBC Wealth Center, ATM or by using our bank by mail option.   • Transfers!

    Sorry to see I can’t make electronic bank transfers in the US!! Why do you have to mail out checks, takes so long and is archaic!!!? (Plus risks getting lost in the post)!
