Great games, not-so-great other features
I want to start off by saying that I use this app regularly for the bike and core features. I really enjoy the games and I think the concept behind this app is fantastic.
However, it really bugs me that there aren’t any options for people who are at a healthy weight and are just trying to exercise and maintain that weight instead of losing more. I understand that a lot of people’s fitness journey involves healthier eating habits, but that’s not the case for everyone and there are essentially no customization options in terms of medical needs. An example of this issue is that you can’t enter your “hacker score” without telling the app how long you regularly go without eating, and the “good” answer is 16+ hours. Not only is that much longer than is healthy for a lot of people (ESPECIALLY people who work out a lot) it’s also not great to measure your diet solely by how long you can go without eating anything. That’s not a good mindset and often pushes people towards binging/purging, which is horrible for fitness and health in general.
I don’t think this app needs to stop featuring weight loss options; many people want to lose weight and that’s awesome. If you want to have food/weight tracking options, that’s great! But options should be optional, not mandatory— especially when this app links to expensive fitness equipment that the user has presumably already bought, meaning they can’t just use a different app.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi. Of course we want to encourage everyone who is on a weight loss journey but we appreciate your input and will convey your thoughts to our tech team. We appreciate your purchases.Always Loved It & Still Do
I’ve loved the concept of Stealth since their first plank core boards came out. Did switch to the orange one from yellow for more padding and room but it makes planking and exercise fun and is now part of my daily routine, whether I do one set of endurance or a few sets of countdown. My sets combine both the plank core board and the squat trainer, and I’m excited for the bike to come out to add. I appreciate the gamification of exercise as well as the little wins the app provides with challenges and fitness tracking. They also have a great library of games for the price of a pizza delivery, which absolutely pays for itself. They’ve been a little slower on game development as of late but personally I’d rather have quality games than them churning out a bunch that I don’t care to play. I usually mix up between my favorite games and occasionally try a new one. Am looking forward to more Squat trainer games, but that’s newer so understandably doesn’t have as many yet (currently 3). Also love the game mix that allows switching of games during a longer set, as each game targets muscles a little differently. Overall, I love the Stealth products but I will say it is about finding something that will help you exercise consistently.Show lessDeveloper Response
We thank you for your detailed review! Here's to Good "Stealth!"Amazing App
Stealth Fitness is an amazing idea and a fun and effective way to get a good workout. There are many options and exercise games, which are also very fun. The only problem I have with this app is that in order to play most of the exercise games, you need to buy premium, which is $40 a year. The equipment you need in order to use this app is already pretty expensive, so I think that users should at least get a few more free games. Other than that, this app is amazing and really works. I definitely recommend if you are in need of an enjoyable workout!Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi! We thank you for your feedback and will pass along the suggestion for more free games. You can also buy a monthly subscription for $4.99 month to month to check out the games, if that is an option for you at stealthpremium.com. Enjoy!
