System is Inferior to Other Platforms
I have a message about bloodwork results that has been in my account since December 2022. When I log in, it tells me there is an unread message. There is no unread message just one that I replied to almost 2 years ago. Additionally, I receive daily text messages telling me I have new test results to review so I log in only to find that the results I am currently waiting for are not there, only the old message from 2022. I have reported this to my doctor’s office but their only response is that I can call someone and chat about their problem. What is the point of having an app that does not provide correct information? Seriously disappointed. I have used other apps for medical information and all have performed well.

Room for improvement
As a UX designer, there are a few key usability/navigation issues driving me crazy. One is the fact that I don’t always have a direct path back to my previous screen. For example, when I click to view an upcoming appointment, I only have the option to go home instead of allowing me to click back to the previous screen and select a different appointment. Another issue is how difficult it was for me to find my test results at first. Conducting user research and using the results to inform this app’s site map/navigation design might go a long way in terms of usability. While the visual design of this app also leaves a lot to be desired, that is of course secondary to the functionality.

Update to previous reviews
How awful can one app be? It keeps getting worse as I use it. Not even the clinic I visit seems to like it. I had labs done and finally found the results. (I’ve not been able to find physician notes yet.) After logging in and getting redirected to the app elsewhere! My land, the previous app we used, everything existed in my files. This is like trying to reach a 2nd floor kitchen by way of the basement bathroom. With insufficient lighting and toys in the hallways. Hence, my drop in stars from 2 to 1.
You cannot delete email messages, you can only archive them.
Am updating my comments again: When you get a lab report, you get a message for EVERY lab result. Not a page of results. The labs tab isn’t efficient, either. And you can’t delete a message, just archive them. Ridiculous! Then, there’s not an “eye” icon to give you the option of seeing if you have your password correct. You just get to guess you are and hope for the best. Others do this, but for a site one might use when one is sick and confused, stupid. Honestly, anytime I talk to anyone having trouble with the app or website, I remind them the website is slightly LESS problematic. I’m seriously shocked by the ongoing problems his has in a time of well me technology, perhaps it’s just cheaper for the various companies.

Best Neurologist In Texas
I had been having spells for thirty years and doctors could not find anything wrong. After putting a pacemaker in me and deciding I probably didn’t need one after all, they suggested a neurologist. I tried several but none could find the problem. Finally after 31 years, I had blacked out, luckily in my 2nd floor apartment garage, and slammed into a brick wall.
After a week in the hospital with 4 broken ribs and a broken sternum I came home and called and was referred to Dr. Cherches by my newest heart doctor.
Dr. Cherches found the problem right away and I will be eternally grateful to him and to Dr. Stephanie Coulter for recommending him.

Love the app
The myPriviaApp is fantastic! I can send messages to my doctor and the nurses and they always respond promptly within 24 hours addressing any concerns I may have. Also, I can schedule an appointment within the app which is always timely and has available times that work around my work schedule. I love that you can also request prescription refills within the app that are always called in within 24 hours. This app has all the health related options right at your fingertips all in one app. I would give the app 10 stars if I could! Very efficient and easy for me as a patient.

Very thorough!
I’ve been seeing Dr Nicholas Platamone for 8 months and I cannot say enough good things about him! He listens to me, he truly wants only the best outcome and he isn’t afraid to think outside of the box when trying to pinpoint a reason for symptoms or diagnosis. I’ve been suffering from gastrointestinal issues and he has referred me to a specialist, but because of the amount of time before I can be seen, Dr P is doing his best to trying to figure out/rule out what is going on. I really appreciate his concern and so happy to find a PCP who truly cares about his patients. Thank you VWC for opening PCP practice for your patients!

Seriously!?
I saw my doctor yesterday, I got a message that I can review the summary of my visit. So I went to their website to see the review which lead me to a page saying I needed to download the app. I downloaded it, then I opened the app and the app sent me to the website, again telling me to download the app. So, I called and spoke to a very apathetic person who treated me like I was dumb. I’m pretty tech savvy so I’m pretty sure the issue is on their end. He had me click on the same stuff I was just clicking on, then put me on hold for about 20 minutes, then all of a sudden without warning they just connected me to my dr.’s office where I left a message. Seriously? Nothing is resolved and I would like to read my summary. I understand how this app is supposed to save time and give us access to our records, but so far it has waisted my time, the person from my Privia and now a nurse that is going to have to return my phone call. Seems like a print out of my summary while I was at the doctor would have saved everyone some time.

Struggled to Get to a Human for Billing Info Questions
I received an incredibly large bill from a Privia provider. I called billing, I called the doctor’s office, I called the doctor’s billing department. I have not been able to get to a human on the doctor/privia side, and my insurance will only send me there. I had been to 3 appointments with this provider and was charged a reasonable co-pay each time. After 3 visits had stacked up, the huge bill hits and no one would tell me how that was possible without my knowledge. It wasn’t mentioned that it wouldn’t be covered, it wasn’t something I would expect to be outside of the copay. And more importantly, even if it took some time for the bill to hit, how was it never mentioned to me as a patient? Was that not deemed important information? And this was not a surgery or anything like that. It was follow up visits that I would 100% have declined to have IF I knew…and I couldn’t get to a human to figure out if it was an accident or what.
I’m still waiting for that call back. In the meantime, I haven’t returned to the doctor bc I cannot afford it.

It’s Ok, Could be Better
Has several glitches and could use improvement. Messages keeps saying I have 5 Unread messages - when I filter by Unread, 5 messages come up - some of them are messages I sent. Regardless, I click each one and finally the alert clears and there are no more unreads until a minute later and they all come back with the alert to 5 Unread messages. For test results, you go to website version - would be ok except that the navigation options are completely different and there is no easy way to go back to the app - can be confusing and frustrating. Otherwise it is a decent app for what it is - just could be so much better.

Great communication tool
I like how I can message my health care provider through this app. She can read and respond at her convenience. I actually get better care that way, since I am more likely to reach out with concerns.
The app is easy to use once you get used to it.
One suggestion for improvement for all medical apps is to somehow link the provider with the name of the app. Every hospital and specialist I see has a different app now. It’s hard to keep straight whose is whose. But that’s not specific to this app.
