  • Atrocious system

Why Jaguar LandRover chose to Partner with you is beyond my comprehension and it would seem, many of the Main Dealers. The support system is appalling. The App regularly drops out and then seemingly decides it doesn’t recognize you. There is no sensible means of resetting Passwords etc beyond going round in circles via the SIM in the car. Possibly one of the worst features of a JLR car and something that will seriously be a consideration in my mind when I next change a vehicle of whether I continue with a Land Rover or Jaguar.

  • Useless

As has been pointed out by other people here and elsewhere, this app is useless. The Land Rover dealership setup an account but the login doesn’t work. They are not open due to the coronavirus lockdown and the password reset in the app requires me to login with the Ubigi sim to get access. That is very tricky as it’s built into the car and not currently working. Save yourself some time and just forget about the cars connection feature.

  • Useless

Got this free with Range Rover but it’s absolutely useless. Data gets used up, despite not connecting any devices. Range Rover can’t tell me what services in their car are using the data and Ubigi don’t itemise or explain usage either.
Range Rover advice was to turn this off as they know it’s very basic/useless and expect to replace with a better system on future cars.
Don’t waste your time with this app or company.

Dear customer, The infotainment services in your car are available at any moment and you can enjoy them wherever you are. A part of those services works thanks to the Ubigi connectivity. This means that Ubigi is not only for your on-board Wi-Fi. So even if you do not connect any device to it, you still have access to the connected services in your infotainment screen (weather, web browser, news and sports for instance) thanks to your Ubigi prepaid SIM card. As a customer service, we can inform you about the volume of data used, but for privacy reasons we do not have access to your itemized consumption. You benefit from a free monthly allowance to access those services, but you have the possibility to top-up bigger allowances adapted to your own usage to enjoy, you and your passengers, from this connectivity. The Ubigi app allows you to top-up at any moment (even if your credit is exhausted) and to monitor your remaining data allowance. __ Kind regards, The Ubigi Team
  • Excellent connectivity in Africa

The app and usability is a bit different than other e-sim Apps, but it works reliably and they have *very* good plans for Africa.
I was very surprised to see it works even in a super remote corner of Madagascar.
  • Just seems to do what it says on the tin

This is my second time using Ubigi while travelling as my eSIM provider for data and I love it. The plans make sense in terms of volumes, lengths and pricing especially compared to my carrier’s roaming charges and it’s super convenient once you’ve gone through the setup process.
It does require a data connection to activate and top up, so make sure you’re near a wifi hotspot or ideally setup before you leave home.

  • Took me a while to figure it out but very happy

I dowloaded this app a few weeks ago but couldn’t set it up. But as I traveled to Portugal I tried it once more and it worked. Very happy with conexion. Tomorrow I will travel to Israel and will update if it doesn’t work.
  • No eSIM support

The app comes up during a search for eSIM suppliers but has no way of setting up an eSIM in the app.

  • Needlessly complex and badly explained

As with the other reviewer I can’t even create an account to get started.

It instructs you to connect via cellular (which I presume is your current one - as you won’t have the Ubigi eSIM until you do!) and tells you to refresh but how??

Pulling down the screen, turning on and off airplane mode doesn’t work, it clearly tells you to turn off WiFi so I assume that has nothing to do with it?

Didn’t they get anyone to review this process? How could it be left in this mysterious and poorly explained state?

Going elsewhere for my eSIM for my travel. Shame as I liked their pricing but if they won’t let me enroll I have no hope of being their customer.

  • Fantastic App to cut your roaming fee

Ubigi is a great App to cut your data roaming fees.

You don't have to purchase anymore a prepaid SIM at the airport. If you have a phone that supports eSim (Iphone Xs, Xr).

You install the App, you select the country where you are (my case was Spain for a business trip) and you select a data plan. I picked 3GB for $9.00.

For payment I used my Paypal account from the Ubigi App. Payment was accepted and my account was activated with the plan I selected.

Then you go in the cellular menu and you select with data plan you want to use.

That way you can easily save a lot of money by not using your home data plan (in my case Verizon) and their crazy data roaming rates.

The technical support team is very responsive.
