The outdoorsy app is truly a terribly written iOS app. Not only does it suffer from performance issues, I often have it crash and the features fail to work more often then they do work. I’m sick of having to call their customer service to complete a check out for a renter and have had to email photos to support more than once due to their implementation of uploads failing. One of the biggest frustration this past year was their poor implementation of 2 stage authentication which of course has failed on multiple occasions to deliver the a txt or email to me to be able to login. This is especially fun when a guest has an important question or need and I’m not able to reply. Support is always willing to manually preform tasks luckily that the app fails to deliver on. But this is not a good host experience and I know from speaking to multiple renters that their experience is not much better. Hopefully this company revamps their native iOS dev, qa, and product teams sooner than later.
