  • Outdoorsy will not help with damage

    I have rented out my camper on outdoorsy for around two years. Mostly without incident, however recently when a renter seriously damaged my camper and returned it bathed in sand Outdoorsy has failed to do anything in response.

    I have exchanged a few emails with the claims department over the last month and none of them go anywhere. I have submitted all documentation of the incident and receipts for repairs. No response from Outdoorsy. I had to cancel almost a whole month of renters over this and again no response at all from Outdoorsy.

    I would recommend passing on the opportunity to rent your camper here if you care about its condition or don’t want to have to pay for other peoples fun weekend damages.

  • Please don’t use

    I am begging you to save yourself the time and many headaches with this app.
    If you have any other options, choose them.

    Here is a breakdown of my problems from only this year:
    - my listing is suddenly “hidden” you cannot see any list details. I was notified by a few renters and it is currently under investigation. This means loss on potential renters for however long this has been going on for.
    - a previous renters card declined. Outdoorsy never notified me, they rented, I noticed my payment was never sent by outdoorsy. After I reached out, they were able to get the payment. But this was AFTER the rental was complete. (Make sure you go and check that every payment has been accepted yourself)
    - outdoorsy out sources their employees who answer the phone. Everyone is on a different page. You will get several answers to each problem.
    - they never actually get back to you
    Example: I had a customer with their own renters insurance ask to drop the insurance from outdoorsy. We filled out the paperwork, got approval, said we would hear back once it went through. We never did. We reached back out, they said they needed more info. Even though they previously stated they did NOT need that specific info.

    I use them because they have cornered the market in my state.
    But they are ABSOLUTELY the worst. AVOID AVOID AVOID

  • Worst app ever

    It never works, I can’t ever upload pics for my rentals. Always gives me errors or says network connection failed. It’s been happening for over a year. Made calls to support, tried removing and reinstalling app, nothing works. This is a nightmare to get things completed.
  • 2024 Outdoorsy App is Terrible

    This app was good last year but this year, I can’t submit my documents, can’t claim what I need to in order to conclude my bookings and get paid all the money I am owed. Additionally, my listing keeps showing that I have no amenities on my rv, which is not true, and there is no way to fix it on the app or in their site. I have contacted their customer service and each time they fix some of it and it resets within a couple of days which means nobody is booking my rv for vacations because they think it has no amenities. Highly recommend taking your rv elsewhere to rent it out as I am about to do.

  • Nothing but problems with the app hosting.

    I have non stop been kicked off the server and this will not work on iPhone app in Canada apparently. Fix your platform.
  • It’s average

    Apps like this need to run smooth. This one has constant glitches and doesn’t refresh. It’s always “disconnecting from server”. So when I’m handing off with a renter, and we need things on the app to be quick and easy, it doesn’t work. We have to stand there awkwardly waiting for the server to connect and keep trying until it works. Not super happy with the functionality. It’s not the easiest as far as general navigation either. I prefer there to be one master calendar to view bookings and edit availability instead of two separate calendars.

  • Joke of an app

    The outdoorsy host app is absolutely ridiculous! It never works for the host nor the renter. It doesn’t include important information for the host such as rental location, amount of people in the party, delivery or pick up… I give a one star and that’s being generous. When I called to complain of these issues to outdoorsy themselves, they told me that there was nothing they can do and if we’re not happy to stop using outdoorsy. So they got a zero star rating for customer service as well. The RVEZY app is 1000 times better! RVEZY supplies more information and is so much easier to use. Forget this platform and go to RVEZY instead.

  • Outdoorsy hosting is great, but the app can sometimes be difficult

    It’s very convenient to manage listings with the app, however some features aren’t available or don’t work always. One example is sending instamatch quotes - it won’t allow me to suggest add-ons or modify. And once a quote is sent it’s not possible to view it.
    I often find myself headed back to my computer to see if things worked or to modify quotes or other things since it can be hard on the app.
    Overall the guest communication feature and other items like editing the listing are great.

  • I loathe this application

    I have to log into the app EVERY time I go to check it. I’ve deleted it. Reset it. Additionally, it frequently says “error” when you use the correct log in information. So I go to a computer browser. It gives me a “you’ve tried to many times” error. I wait. And eventually I can get into the browser (using the exact same details that didn’t work previously) , however not the app. Awful experience. I’m considering letting this company go and just using the others. For anyone else who also uses other companies, it is very difficult to sync them, if you can at all. That means a lot of work for every booking to add the details to each calendar. This needs a TON of work!

  • Needs improvement

    It seems like with every update they introduce more bugs to the app. The app doesn’t allow for me to select moderate cancellation policy, only strict and flexible. Changing amenities or available dates for the van always fails. I could only upload one photo at a time - forcing me to tap upload and go find my photos each time. Now, the update says they fixed that. Well, now it just crashes when I try to upload photos. It’s a frustrating app.
