  • Outdoorsy App

    The outdoorsy app is easy to navigate and gives great access to messaging your renters. I would like to see the return process for extra fees a little easier. For example if I enter beginnings and ending mileage/generator hours this should auto calculate the fee and then I verify and submit. Also why do I need paper signatures? This information should all be electronic lets go paperless.

    All the information is there would make it more efficient.

  • High fees, no protection, useless service

    This is basically the worst support I’ve ever seen. Outdoorsy will regularly take 20-30% of all booking fees and they provide literally zero support.

    They ask renters to pay for insurance, they ask owners to get insurance, they claim they provide insurance (through roamly) and after all 3 payments are taken time and again they deny claims.

    Be warned, should your vehicle sustain damage the outdoorsy team will take their time trying to work their way out of payment and make up every excuse.

    What’s the point of all this insurance if none of it will cover anything???

    I’ll be filing a claim against this garbage scam company. With any luck they will collapse under their lies.

  • Amazing

    This is by far one of the best platforms. The customer service alone out performs everyone else. I enjoy the futures they offer. My favorite being the custom discount codes. I have been asking customers who use R*S*ARE to use this one. Those customers have been repeat since and even compliment how much easier this platform is.

  • Change dates should have ability to modify amounts

    I have a minimum three night rental and the guest insisted to rent for one night. She made a mistake and wanted two nights so I submitted a date change to pick it up the following day there was no way of adjusting the price to account for my three night minimum mommy rental. We should be able to submit date changes, pricing changes and add ons. This flexibility would save a phone call to support for help. Thanks

  • Constant issues

    We love renting our RV but we have nothing but constant issues with this app. It never lets me upload pictures which means I can’t do the departure form on the app. I don’t want to print papers (hence using the app), and this app just fails and forces paper copies anyway. Very frustrating and the help desk has no answers or way to fix. Their answer is only to print papers.

  • Owners Beware

    Caution to all owners. I rented my trailer out about 6-7 times this year with outdoorsy. While most experiences were great, the 2 bad ones made me pull my listing and I will never rent it again. While they try to make the process with insurance easy, they continually either take a percentage or don’t give you the full amount to fix your trailer, leaving you the owner to pay the rest if you want your trailer fixed (mine was brand new, so of course I wanted it to stay that way). You will make money, but it’s constant stress and spending money as well

  • Terrible customer service, only looking out for the riders

    When the clients are easy and good, this is a great platform. If anything goes wrong, however, the owners are put in a terrible position of assuming the guilt is on us, not the drivers. When I asked to speak with an Outdoorsey manager (following over 2 1/2 weeks of being out $1000+ for a repair that was the fault of the driver), I was sent to a small claims filing process: they want me to file a small claims suit against the driver and remove themselves from the situation. There are too many things that can go wrong with a moving vehicle to assume all of responsibility and I have a totally hands off and non-communicative platform. Highly warn against use.

  • Application is Terrible

    Created my account, made a listing of our RV, linked bank info for payment, spent about 2 hours creating and setting up everything and it was good to go. Go to sleep, wake up to check it and my account password is wrong, can’t reset the password as it says I’m not authorized to do so, and it says my account doesn’t exist now. Be aware, not a smooth application on the iOS platform. Crashes a lot as well.

    Edited Review: Apparently my account was under review by their Safety and Trust Team, of which I had no idea was taking place as I never received any notification of why my account was disabled. This was why, and now the issue is resolved but I’m still leaving it at 3 stars from 2 as the communication needs to improve drastically if something like this is to occur so the owner / customers are informed and not left guessing in the dark.

    Please communicate better, maybe later I’ll update this review if things improve if I ever need help in the future.

  • Beware RV Owners

    Outdoorsy does not take care of their owners. They see renters and owners as customers. When it comes to a dispute between an owner and a renter, they will take the renter’s side? Why? Because even through there is a slim chance renters will ever rent again, they assume owners are stuck with them. So they are desperately trying to maintain that relationship to the detriment of the owners. RVShare is a much better platform for owners. It has a fairer process to settle claims issues. I would not recommend Outdoorsy at all to RV Owners. Use RVShare or RVezy instead. The main issue with Outdoorsy is their ridiculous 48 hour policy to file an insurance claim against renters. RV’s have literally dozens of complicated systems that aren’t going to simply be as obvious as a dented vehicle when something is wrong. If a renter misuses or damages something that is not immediately obvious, you likely will not notice this until you not just use the RV again, but use that particular system. For something like a black water valve, this won’t be used until the end of a trip. Beware..their insurance/claims process is garbage.

  • Love it thus far

    I'm not sure if this is a review of outdoorsy or the app.

    Thus far the app is easy to use and covers most of the bases. I have had difficulty setting up pricing rules and add-ons can be a little clumsy but overall the app works very well and I am happy with the checkout and check-in process.

    OUTDOORSY Itself:
    Pro: I like the company very much and thus far have had three rentals one of which had a fender bender. Their team worked with me and really protected me as an owner for which I am grateful! It has made me more comfortable continuing to use outdoorsy over rvshare. Overall I am very happy with how everything has gone this far
    Con: the one area I feel a little exposed as an owner is the 48 hour claim policy. There are many problems that are not as blatantly obvious as a fender bender, I try to start all appliances and clean everything in the RV in the first day but I can foresee a time where something happens and I don't find it immediately it would be nice to have at last three days to file a claim.
