  • Make money!

If you love to make people happy and helping them have a wonderful vacation then listing Outdoorsey is a great way to make money with your RV when you aren’t using it.
  • Greatest Way To Stay Retired!

If it wasn’t for Outdoorsy, I would have had to go back to work after retiring. My expenses unexpectedly went up and the money wasn’t there. I was going to have to sell my RV, until I saw an ad for Outdoorsy. I have to admit, the first time I rented it out, I was very nervous. But my renters have treated my RV like it was their own and now it’s rented out for the next six months. In fact, I was able to purchase another camper so I could still camp! Thank you Outdoorsy and thanks to GOD for giving me this opportunity!

  • Crashes when logging in with Google

Normally this app is a solid four stars, due to some glitches and lack of functionality but overall it’s a pretty decent app. However, just lately, since the update, it’s been doing nothing but crashing whenever I attempt to login using Google authentication. Even though I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, reboot the phone and did everything up to and including calling outdoorsy support and it has all ended up getting me nowhere so I turn to this one star review in hopes the developers will see it and take action. Please fix this app! Thank you

  • DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR RV

I’ll start by saying that I’m a business attorney and am adept at resolving disputes amicably and fairly.

Outdoorsy’s policies and tactics are blatantly unethical.

Their insurance requires claim submission within 48 hours, which basically means it only covers accidents. 90% of damage from RV rentals is not discovered immediately; it’s usually the next time you drive/use it.

We had a renter put gas in a Diesel engine, which could have totaled out $95,000 class B Van. We didn’t discover it for about 2 weeks, because it’s not apparent sitting in the driveway.

We did catch it early enough to do the repairs ourselves (5 hours and $360). When they refused reimbursement because it wasn’t submitted within 48 hours, I started posting reviews to let owners and renters know about the risks of renting from this company.

They promptly reached out and offered me a $360 credit. I re-listed the RV, planning on one singular rental to get the credit.

THEY HAVE HIDDEN MY LISTING. When I search from any other computer, my listing does not come up (which explains why I haven’t gotten a single rental request when I normally get 2-3 per week).

I will be suing them. DO NOT TRUST THEM, they are unethical as any company can be.

  • Earn more than your payment easily

My family purchased a very nice and quite expensive RV and had planned to take the monthly payments out of our budget… Finding outdoorsy pro has really just been the cherry on top. It is so easy to see if drivers are verified, details about their trip and how much you might make from their booking request, before you make a decision about renting your RV out. The insurance and damage protection give us peace of mind. We have easily made more than our monthly payment and can still enjoy our RV as a family 80% of the time!

  • Departure / Return

Everything is great as far as communication with the renter goes. But the key exchange process is not good. The one on the app and the desktop is completely different format. I cannot type on the department form in the app. I have to print it out and have the client sign in addition to having the client esign. Super inconvenient

  • Very easy to use and integrates with calendar

So far this app is very easy to use and easy to integrate with my phone calendar to better keep track of my booking requests. So far so good!
  • Terrible platform

As an owner of a trailer you are penalized for declining a rental if the renter does not meet the towing capacity or towing requirements for your trailer. Even when my profile puts that information on the listing I still get plenty of renters who don’t meet the requirements. Not only that, but you have to message the renter when they request a booking to ask about their towing capabilities and if they don’t respond your response time goes down as their request is just sitting there waiting. And eventually you cancel because they never respond for days and then your approval rating goes down as well. Then you reach out to support and say there is nothing they can do.

  • Great app and user friendly

The app is great, but I do have one recommendation: give the owner/ renter the opportunity to select pickup and drop off location if delivery option is selected. I’d have to call customer service to have this added on previous rentals. Aside from this one item, easy to use.
  • Do not rent your van with outdoorsy.

I’ve been renting my Mercedes sprinter with them for 2 years, they have great customer service when they’re taking their 20% but when anything goes wrong they are no help. If you vehicle breaks down it is completely your problem. The renter can just leave it with no liability and you ha e to figure out how to take care of the service / repair and how to get the vehicle back. Furthermore, if the renter doesn’t return your vehicle on the last day of the rental period you are fully responsible for any damages if there is a crash or any damages.
