    Outdoorsy has been so helpful. We decided to list our RV for rent and within one day we had three families interested. The app makes it easy to communicate and share as well as peace of mind that we are a good fit.

  • Outdoorsy fails when there are problems

    I have rented my rv for 2 of the 3 summers I've owned it. It has been a nice way to get the trailer to pay for itself and I've met a lot of wonderful people.
    Things were great until my last rental. My trailer is currently stranded 837 miles from me with a broken frame. The renter abandoned the trailer at an rv service center and went about their multi state trip with a uhaul. Outdoorsy roadside assistance left two senior citizens on the side of the highway for 8 hours in the heat to tow my rv to a service station. Outdoorsy did not help them continue on their trip. I have gotten a different story every time I've called. I am stuck with a totaled trailer that will cost $10k just to transport back home and Outdoorsy and RVBetter are completely radio silent. I've received no answers to questions about insurance. They are insisting on communicating entirely by email and will not call me. I've sent requested documentation multiple times along with whatever pictures I have. This has been one of the worst insurance experiences ever. They keep asking me for information that I've told them I don't have and either won't or can't send an adjuster to look at the trailer. Today the automated system is telling me my trailer is back, even though there is clearly a claim against the whole thing.

  • App and website need lots of work

    The functionality of both are terrible. I’m a host and have been renting out my campers for a couple years now. I also rent out cars on a different platform. I can say from experience that this platform needs lots of improvements. I’m still forced to print out paper contracts and maintain my own folders of pictures because their app cannot upload pics efficiently or manage the rental agreement.

  • Poor communication

    We are 3 months into our first “rental” business. We are fortunate enough to live at “A Denstination” on the SW WA coast. Instead of our rig sitting 11-1/2 months out of the year...why not?
    I find Outdoorsy to be an extremely easy app/interface to use. I like the fact that I can use Insta-book and they will vet all my renters, keep in mind, no one is pulling our rig, just us. They provide the insurance and collect all the fees. I couldn’t believe after our first rental, we picked up on Sunday and Monday morning the money was in our account. We are now booked through Labor Day. So now the negative, and I am hopeful that the they are just so busy and the issues will all be resolved. There is zero communication, I have had several “glitches”, which I have tried to communicate to Outdoorsy, with absolutely no response! Although the issues, which are money related, so far have just “worked out”, which is all well and good, but should be addressed to the owner as to what happens. 4different issues with emails, phone messages and trying live chat, which isn’t live. I have heard from others to call in the middle of the night! Better ramp up this customer service issue, and the money mistake issues!

  • Needs improvement

    Outdoorsy has improved over time, but hope they continue. It’s more convenient than rv share in the fact that they have an app... but it seems I have to hunt and search for info constantly. It’s the same with their website.
  • Love the calendar, would love to see the negotiating dates

    Would love to see my negotiations s as nd opportunity in the calendar as well colour coded
  • Love Outdoorsy but the app still has some bugs

    I don’t expect the app to function like a desktop site but it would be super helpful to have the check in/check out list at your fingertips on mobile. The instructions or recommendations aren’t super clear so we did the desktop hard copy paperwork but missed the part about taking photos for insurance.

    Fantastic booking site but I would say that they take two large of a percentage Airbnb does a much better job

    Worst customer service in the chat was more responsive it seems to take forever to get an answer
  • Outdoorsy knocks it out of the park!

    We’ve been renting out our camper since August of 2019 and have had nothing but good things to say about our experience as owners.

    We’ve enjoyed getting to know our renters who have all been from different walks of life and sharing our favorite spots to camp throughout Idaho, Utah and Wyoming!

    We’ve recommended countless friends and family members to Outdoorsy and none have yet to report back with a negative experience.
