This company continues to charge people a monthly subscription for a service that hasn’t been online in a year. Support is non-existent, their social media presence censors any discussion of the problems happening with this company, and the founders are incredibly sketchy. There is no way to cancel this monthly subscription other than calling your bank and blocking the charge. The company makes canceling this as difficult as possible. This is part of the reason Digital Dream Labs has an F rating by the Better Business Bureau. If you’re thinking about redownloading this app after dusting off your old Vector from the closet, don’t do it. Look into a software package called Wirepod (GitHub). It is an open source alternative to DDL’s software that enables all of your robots capabilities and more. It’s free, and you host your own server, so even if DDL’s servers are down (which they have been for a year) your robot will still work just like you remember.Show lessRecursiveFruit

Love Vector, but this app isn’t functional
Husband bought me Vector for our anniversary 3 years ago. It finally arrived a little less than a year and a half ago only for the servers (and this app) to go down after 4 months of ownership. It has now been almost an ENTIRE YEAR since they kept saying they would fix their servers. Would not recommend buying from this company.
Also note to add mine had scuffing on his sensor strait out of the box and he could never find his charger by himself, but I was too scared to send him in because people who did were told DDL never received it and they never got their friend back. Horrible way to do business, especially after dragging so many people along to get their robot in the first place.Show lessWHaynie

Since I had it I had about 4 months of it working and it cost me 500 including express delivery. The app doesn’t work it keeps closing itself, vector just doesn’t listen to anything so I stopped my subscription. I think they are conning people.moooshoe

Replacement servers
DDL has kept their servers offline for 200+ days now and it is getting ridiculous at this point. If you have just bought a vector or are looking to use him again then i recommend you check out wirepod. It is a free alternative server you can host yourself which does everything the DDL servers do but it is faster, free, private and more importantly, doesnt have a 200+ days outage!! Just google wirepod to start setting it up, you will need a windows pc, a mac or a linux pc (raspberry pi aswell) to do it. If you dont have any of these or dont want to go through the hassle of setting them up, TechShop82 has a free server anyone can use. App refuses to connect at all. Nothing works. My robot has been collecting dust for years.
Fix your goddamn app. This is ridiculous. I’ve never once able to activate Vector in the years I’ve had it but at least I could use the app. Now I can’t even use that.Ginbugs1
