Does not work
After having the fan for less than a year I had to have my electrician come out to re-wire the fan bc it stopped connecting to WiFi. This has once again happened again. I can’t keep paying my electrician to come out to re-wire the fan every few months. I will be looking for a new fan. Extremely frustrating.Show lessMLC0223
Horrible app. Horrible fans. Avoid.
The app is super laggy and doesn’t show what the fans are actually doing, sometimes saying they are on when they are actually off and vise-versa. And the app depends on some remote service which goes down sometimes, rendering the app useless. The fans are trash as well. Only one of two responds to the remote it came with at all so when the app doesn’t work I can’t turn the fan on at all. These fans and this app are utter garbage.Show lessEbezester
Great fan, bad app and support!
I’ve been in communication with Fanimation’s tech support. I love my new Fanimation Odyn, but it takes 3 to 4+ attempts for the fanSync app to connect with the fan. It takes 5 minutes to turn off the fan. You think it turned off and you return to the room and it is still on. Several dealers told me that the Odyn is compatible with Apple HomeKit. But after purchase and installation I discover it does not. I inquired about using Lutron Caseta smart switches but they are also not compatible. Fanimation was not helpful, offered no advise and did not even apologize for being misled and their app not working. I wanted to buy two more fans but not now.Show lessMatt, Las Vegas
No issues! What is up with all the negative reviews?
I installed the fan (Spitfire 84), synced the app, calibrated the fan, and updated the software! The app has worked flawlessly and is extremely simple to use.

Will not connect to wi-fi
Installed new Fanimation Kute5 fan the other day. Installed this app to control fan with my iPhone. After multiple attempts I can’t connect to my 2.4 ghz network. Keeps timing out and will not connect. Wi-fi network is working with other devices and router is near. Unable to set up new fan to work with this app. Fortunately the included remote works perfectly.Show lessDL2010
Not full function
My fan included a 4 bulb light kit fixture. Even though I tried 2 different high quality brands of LED dimmable bulbs, the dimming function on the app only causes the lights to flicker. Very disappointing. Not explained in company literature/instruction. I am happy with the aesthetics of the fixture so I am not replacing it.

Perfect so far
I was worried when I saw other reviews but I was able to connect my fan and begin controlling it with the app on the first try. And the app is very intuitive for controlling all the features of the fan. Maybe Fanimation got past issues fixed. Very happy so far.Z1LL10N
Setup on iPhone not iPad

Was working great until now…
I have been using and enjoying the app daily (controlling the fan through the app on my phone) for the past month or so - Today it randomly kicked me out and forced me to create a login profile?? I jumped through those hoops now the fan is no longer connected and does not show up under the WiFi. I rifled through the manual, searched online… nothing. Is there no pairing mode???
