Update your freaking app, its so fickle, everything about the actual fan is great but your app is literally the worst app I have ever used. It is not too hard to build a simple app that works like this especially when it’s advertised to work. Tonight the app won’t even open.EllieEugenia
It was good while it lasted
We have 2 Fanimation AireDrop fans. I consider us lucky to have had the app “mostly” work for a while. The first fan required a new WiFi module almost immediately, but was great after that. This prompted us to get a second fan for our daughter’s. I was able to link her fan to Alexa to create a bedtime and wake-up routine that included the fan and light. Also, should she lose the remote (as kids do), the app and Alexa were a handy backup. Suddenly, neither fan is responding. Was going to go to the app, but the app won’t even open. I have restarted my phone. I have deleted and redownloaded the app. Nothing. I paid extra for these fans for a reason. Highly disappointing.Show lessannoyed consumer 2
App will not load and open.
Have been using this this app for almost 2 years with little problems. Tried to open the app today and it just sits there and will not load or open. Deleted it and downloaded twice and still would not open. Do something to fix this.RHef2012
Worked f/ 2 Weeks
This app worked perfectly as I set up the fan and linked to our WiFi. At some point last last night the fan dropped off WiFi, became disabled from Alexa and the app won’t open. Tried removing and reloading, same results. Fan still works fine, but automation is lacking.Combat Talon Loadie
Loses Sync All The Time
Whenever we have a power outage, most (but not always all) of our fans can’t be managed by the app. I have to delete each fan and re-add them. We have power outages in Florida frequently due to lightning, so this is a pain.
Also, the bedroom fan randomly gets turned off, causing the room temperature to spike and eventually causing me to wake up. Happens about once a week!!!!

I don’t understand…
Why do I have to login to control my fan? I get asked to log in at least once a month which takes a minute. Just satisfy the need of the customer which is to turn the fan on or off.Atlanta Native
Like Trying to Communicate with a GameBoy
There will be some users that enjoy the challenge of working with old and outdated tech. Not me.
Technically, you should be aware that it’s buggy, and will only work with a WiFi router configured just for 2GHz. (Most combine 2 & 5GHz since the turn of the century)

Second fan
I got this fan a year ago and hooked it up. I never could connect the fan to wifi and gave up. I loved the fan so much that I bought it for my new house when I moved and still cannot connect the fan to wifi. The app is garbage. I thought it was user error at first and decided to try again, but nope. I followed all instructions to a T and it won’t connect.Show lessfanimationERROR
