Useless app - doesn’t work
This app basically does not work, like at all. It will take you 100 tries to pair your fan and then after pairing the app will -maybe- work 2% of the time you try to use it. Yes, 2%. It essentially never works. It will rarely ever find your fan and even if it does, the controls and commands you input will not register. The app will just repeatedly error out and blame the connection. I can assure you, fanimation, that my connection is completely fine and your wireless functionality is just pure junk.Show lesseraser king

App Loses Control of Fan and Won't Reconnect
Just installed fanSync Wifi on iphone 13 with ios 15.6 public beta. Speed control using app was fine until I switched the fan into "Fresh Air" mode as a test. Fresh Air seems to vary the speed of the fan to mimic natural wind changes. Problems occurred when I tried to return the fan to normal mode. All control buttons in the app greyed out, locking the fan in the fresh air mode. Tried quitting and restarting the app to no effect. Rebooted phone, no effect. The app keeps displaying very quick black banners saying something about establishing connection but they disappear too quickly to read fully. Finally had to completely delete the fan from the app and reinstall it in order to get the control buttons back. At this point I have very little confidence in the app. Remote control works fine, just the app.Show lessSpambush
timeout error
open the appon ipad, select the wifi from the fan, select my wifi network and enter password, wait, wait, wait, timeout error. tried app on iphone, same timeout error. add this to all the other 1 star reviews.ex avibus
Connection Timeout
Purchased this fan because of its Amazon Alexa compatibility. Didn't expect to get connection timeout every time I'm attempting to pair the app to the fan. App seems broken. We have a ton of smart home devices and all work well...except this fan. I feel jipped.Megalomac

Works as expected so far. One thing that would be cool would be if you could do custom settings like “reading in bed” or “morning” where you could get your adjustments all preset without changing each time.Tommy BChi
no fan direction memory?
I use this app for bluetooth connection. it paired and worked instantly. The only issue so far is this app doesn’t have winter/summer button to change fan direction. and whenever I turn on the fan via this app, it is in summer mode (air down direction). Please add the direction button and remember the last direction setting.Show lessZxcvnb
Utter garbage
The fans are great, the app is worth less than trash. It’s unreliable to say the least. Spotty at best with IFTTT. This app was obviously someone’s side project and then forgotten about.
When your name is Fanimation and this is the trash you put out, their should be embarrassment and shame all throughout the workplace. Yes, this app is that bad.

Will not connect to fan no matter what i do. Says app is out of date and to update it but there is no way to update it.Christopher916
