Garbage. Requires internet to work. No local device control. Loses sync with fan often and have to run setup again. Look for a different fan and company.justinb186
Great fan terrible app
I really find that you guys need to up your game on this app. When you first launch it it takes a good 10 to 30 seconds to sync properly. But when you launch the app it’s confusing because you don’t know if it has sunk up yet or not so you have to wait. When you launch the app a window should pop up that says something like “stand by, syncing”. Next, no matter what I do the schedule will not remember the brightness setting of the LED light. No matter what I said it to it wants 20%. I’ve deleted the schedule and re-created it numerous times and it still doesn’t work right. Scheduling needs to include sunrise and sunset times. No WiFi hotspot to connect to
Is there an instruction I missing? My phone can’t find the fan.
I have looked through all of the paperwork that come with it. I’ve looked up the website. Nothing says how to put the fan in the pairing mode and have it broadcast the Wi-Fi signal. It is powered on. I turned of cellular data. The remote connects. I installed the hardware adapter.Show lessApollo_I3
Disappointing
This app needs a massive overhaul. Every step of the way from initial pairing, to running updates to controlling the fans is problematic. I was eventually able to pair the fans after literally 30-40 attempts.
Still, the controls do not always work and the app is buggy to the point it is barely useable. In addition, the family sharing feature to allow other users in my household to control the paired fans does not work. After sending them their personalized link and they click on it, they get a error message saying the pairing failed.
I spent an additional $90 on each of my new Fanimation fans to add FanSync WiFi received and capabilities. To have the app function so poorly after spending all that money is unethical and simply robbery. The only bright spot is that it paired very easily to Amazon Alexa and controls through Alexa have been consistent.Show lessbriansj408

Needs work
Great fan, bad app. The Wi-Fi App does not connect. The Bluetooth app works just fine.
Not sure how Fanimation allows this app to be continually downloaded by customers who end up frustrated because the bought a fan that had certain capabilities to connect with other smart devices in their homes and cannot.

App too bulky
Great amazing fans crappy app. This app needs a ton of work. When viewing group mode it still shows all the individual fans below not sure why. I put them in a group for a reason to hide the individual fans.
Alexa Amazon’s app can access all the fans and lights and takes up so much less fluff. Grouping fans also looks better in Alexa.
Modifying and viewing one fan takes up the entire screen. Why does it take up so much space. The scroll bars for lights and fan could be much closer. The breeze mode can just go away as well as home away.
Alexa app allows me to group 5 fans in three groups.
Fans 1 and 2 and 3
Fans 4 and 5
And fans 1,2,3,4 and 5
Three groups
The fanimation app won’t let you change the order of your fans. It wasn’t based of when installed them. It’s based on the first firmware upgrade the altered the order.
To sync fans with Alexa you have to remove the fanimation skill and add the skill and sign in to get it to add new fans.Show lessMDavid22

This app claims to control your Fanimation Fan but it DOES NOT. This app needs a third party piece of hardware to Work properly. Again... this app controls nothing.FragnSlayer
