  • Just Use GrubHub

    I used the Crumbl app for a long time, and I won’t be using it anymore. Despite searching the entire app for somewhere to set my delivery preference to “contactless,” it doesn’t exist. I put a note in for my address but that did nothing. I have small children and I’m often busy with them, so we strongly prefer to use contactless delivery. Without fail, the drivers show up, ring the doorbell and wait. Sometimes it’s fine, but sometimes I’m changing a diaper or nursing a baby. The last time I ordered, the driver texted that they were on their way so I texted back that they can leave the cookies on the doorstop. The driver texted me back with a passive aggressive message that I should update my account if I want contactless delivery. As if I haven’t tried?? Seriously, the app does not have an option for this. After receiving lip from my last driver, I decided to see if ordering from GrubHub might be comparable price wise. Since I have GrubHub+ with Prime, I was actually shocked to learn it’s CHEAPER to order from a third party app. My guess is it would be similar if you have DashPass for DoorDash. Why would I bother using the Crumbl app when going third party allows me more flexibility with delivery and costs less? It was actually cheaper even with a larger tip to the driver. If you have a premium service through one of the delivery apps, I recommend comparing prices. You might be surprised.

  • Terrible.

    The app apparently cannot recognize the difference between signing in vs creating a new account. My phone/the app logs me out of the app every so many days, and when I go to actually sign back in-> it creates me a whole new account. Purchase history is gone, reviews gone, Crumbl points gone. Like I never existed. So not only frustrating, but also losing money/points.
    Another flaw - it doesn’t “connect” with the store all the time. I’ve now placed and paid in full for at least 4 delivery orders just within the last 2 months (that I’ve actually paid attention to-there are more, now that I’m aware they’ll just take your money without a word) that never get delivered. We get the order confirmation, the confirmation number, and it acts like it’s tracking the order but it’s not-it just sits there..and no one says or does anything except take your money still. My credit card gets charged instantly but the order itself just sits in “preparing” or “queued for delivery” until I actually bring it to someone’s attention specifically. I’ve seen my orders stay in “preparing” for 2 weeks before! Thats insane! Highway robbery!

  • My visit to the York Pa store

    I have been here several times and I must say my last visit I was disappointed in the staff. The woman who was taking orders kept her back turned to us for several minutes. When she was finally finished whatever it was she was doing didn’t bother to say hello only “what would you like?” We placed our orders and she seemed peeved that we handed her cash. She asked if I wanted to use my phone number for Crumbl points which I entered. I asked how the rewards system works as I’ve purchased several times and was unsure how it works. She said “honestly I have no clue.” Shouldn’t the associates know that? The Buckeye Cookies came out 1 had a much larger amount of chocolate than the other. I asked for more chocolate which that associate graciously added to it. She was very upbeat & friendly. The cashier….not so much. I will say that every cookie I’ve had has been delicious which keeps me coming back.
