  • My Childhood Feels are Stirred

Amazing. Just wonderfully made. Stylistically, I’m a huge fan. There’s a lot of beautiful character design on each character you encounter. The maps have a really neat 3D effect that I haven’t seen before. Voice acting is super. The writing is well directed and fresh. I initially thought it was going to be cheesy and/or overdone as far as JRPG writing goes, but I’ve been pleasantly egged on with the premise to keep playing through the several arcs it’s got going on. I’ve been playing nonstop for three days now and I’m so stoked I haven’t seen a single ad despite the app being free. There are microtransactions in-game that are optional, but it in no way necessary. I honestly think it’s worth it to pay for a few things since, again, the game is completely free. This game makes me feel the same type of giddiness playing the Breath of Fire series as a kid. Give it a try if you’re looking for a great game comparable to some of the best JRPG out in the market right now! You will NOT be disappointed!!

  • Fun, basic, a true classic RPG

I have to agree with the other review on here about costly stones, you really can play this game without them, you don’t have to collect all of the characters to progress the game but getting them helps continue gameplay. If you want to support the developers then buy them, I think they should maybe not be so cutthroat about how many you get from buying. Like how about $20 gets you like 10,000 stones that would definitely get people to spend money for characters. Now for storyline it’s pretty basic and cliche but that’s fine the game play is pretty straight forward and basically you just kinda get sucked in for hours running around doing quests and what not. You really do have to get back into your old leveling grinding ways like a true RPG. Now it might annoy you that some of the game might remind you of classic RPG games and characters that show up might resemble other characters and might have the same name even......... but just take it as an homage to past great RPG games like Chrono trigger, final fantasy, breath of fire, and I even feel like some newer ones are a part of this game like star ocean, and xenoblade. If you know any of those games then pick this one up and play it really will make you enjoy classic RPG games again.

  • One of my favorites

I didn’t know what to expect when I downloaded this game, but it definitely exceeded that. I love RPGs but they’re usually all the same cliché story, and it’s the same with the time traveler story. However, this game really stands out to me. The animation style is unique and charming and the story is pretty unpredictable (in a good way)! I feel like all the characters, even the small ones, actually have personality with their quests. There are a few typos in the dialogue, but it’s not unreadable and the amazing gameplay makes up for it. I also like how the creator(s) take into account the health stations. They’re placed conveniently and they feel like it’s placed just when you need it. Overall, I would recommend this game if you’re a big fan of RPGs and just need something to do. One of the best games I’ve played in a while, and I actually want to complete this game. The soundtrack also just makes it even better.

  • On the topic of costly stones...

I absolutely am in LOVE with this game. ANOTHER EDEN is a beautifully designed game with a story line that seems a bit cliché but adds it’s own touch. I love the characters and their designs, plus their individual animations. This game has taken its own view on JRPG Gatcha games.
I’ve seen quite a few reviews and comments here about the price of Chronos Stones and how “pay to play” the game seems. People have complained about bosses being too difficult for their characters but this needs to be said; THIS IS AN RPG BASED GAME. You need to have TIME to play it and patience to grind it out. I haven’t had to pay for stones and I’ve been able to summon the 10 pull three times since I’ve started playing about a week and a half ago. The bosses are difficult if you don’t grind for leveling(like you should be doing anyway) or have the right equipment equipped. It’s easy to obtain materials to craft weapons and armor and gold is typically not a problem.
There are usually a plentiful of side-quests to do before and after main-story bosses to complete to obtain more Chronos Stones and EXP. If you’re having difficulties beating a boss, try figuring out their attack pattern, keep healers in your party at all time and have people in your sub-party to switch out. Save your power gauge between boss-phases and if you aren’t worried about spoilers, try looking up what boss you’ll be facing next.

  • A better Chrono Trigger game than Chrono Cross

Gorgeous, with lovely music and beautiful animation. It cuts out a lot of the juggling of standard gatchas, especially by automatically fusing repeat characters for you. No more crunching numbers and carrying around dozens of the same characters, breaking immersion? Thank you!
Furthermore, it plays like a jrpg. No stamina mechanics, no chapters locked behind paywalls or time limits. No pvp that I’ve found yet, which feels like a bonus. Materials for gatcha draws can be purchased or farmed with quests and battles, which drop exp and loot in traditional rpg fashion, so you want to engage in them.
Finally, those familiar with Chrono Trigger will find absolute joy noting all of the references and familiar threads. From the festival opening to chasing your cat into a rift, to the art for the eras you visit, to various characters met along the way, it feels like the Chrono Trigger reboot we were never allowed to have.

  • Challenging game, but that’s what makes this game great!

This game is amazing; the graphics are so refined! While the fights in this game are really difficult, mostly because you can only carry one food item to completely heal yourself while out of combat, that’s what makes this game interesting. It’s challenging, and you have to use a lot of strategy to win a fight. With other games I rage quit because of the pay-to-win format, and how you have to pay money to get to the next level, but in this one it’s mostly about grinding exp, and I really love it. Overall, challenging and interesting game with great graphics and an amazing plot.

Currently I’m at the baby faces boss level, and I got a huge feeling I’m gonna have to grind a lot more XD

And for people starting the game- DONT USE YOUR CHRONO STONES TO REVIVE! These are really valuable to get more heroes, and I suggest you keep them. You don’t have to revive because you don’t lose anything when you respawn.

  • Awesome Game

So before starting any game I like to read the reviews. And was hesitant at first. I saw complaints about healing items and the volcano area being a wall and the need to revive all the time.

First I’m past the volcano with yet to use the first meal healing item, as you get a great healer and I picked up 2 other healers as well. I have yet to revive except experimenting against the red chaser monsters which was more of a chuckle and I let myself respawn as it’s a short run back. And the volcano I go through with only needing two heal spells and no where even near close to dying. The game does require some leveling but hey, it’s an RPG. Plus you will grind most of the levels while gathering materials for armor and weapons. Biggest tip so far. Get 6 in your party, as the two in reserve heal life and mana during battle and are quick to switch between. I am F2P and am progressing right along.

Give it a try. Worst it costs you a little time. At best a lot of time.

  • Beautiful Money Pit

So this game started out freaking FANTASTIC. Beautiful animation, great story, beautiful artwork, and the quest system and controls and music were awesome. Then comes the combat system. It’s broken. For example, the volcano area is where I drew the line. You wander around, you get thrown into a fight, there’s a rain button, it sounds good on paper but it’s broken. Sometimes the Run button is grayed out. Sometimes you hit it and the game’s like “nope, don’t like that, you forfeit your turn”. And of course you get wiped out because the enemies are freaking OP. And you have to spend 50 chronos stones to respawn. If you do all the quests and don’t pay a dime, you have ~300 stones left by the time you get to the volcano. These are spent on the Flaming creatures in the volcano that spawn a) when you step on a glowing stone and b) whenever the heck they feel like it. If you don’t spend them, you wind up allll the way back at the last safe place, and there’s only like one per populated city. You can use Food to restore HP/MP but you can only carry one. By the time you get to the big bad volcano boss you are broke and lacking in HP/MP and he has so many hit points and does so much damage you’re gonna have to pay for more chronos stones because you can’t run! And you can’t eat food mid-fight either.
This game was so beautiful but I am done.

  • JRPG Gold!!

I never write reviews on here. This is my first. But I feel this app truly deserves it. It’s not just good, it’s amazing. It’s not just some mission based game that they made an app for, it’s a full on game with a plot. All the characters have stories and backgrounds. I love it. It feels like it should be a console game and best of all it’s free. I’ve played sooooo much of this game and love it. Now some people have given it low reviews for having to buy gems to unlock people. And I hate that too. Let me assure you it isn’t the case here. You have so many gems thrown at you you’ll be summoning characters left and right. Meet a new enemy for the first time, here’s five gems. Killed twenty of those monsters, here’s ten gems. Unlocked a new character. Got a character to a certain level. Oh and also you completed a main story point, 50 gems. I get around 1000 gems every other day and summon ten characters at a time. So no, it does not force you to buy gems to unlock people. You can of course do that but it doesn’t give you anyone that you couldn’t have gotten from the free gems. And I applaud them for that. That it is an option for the impatient people. But it’s not required. So if you like old school jrpg games look no further, this one is a gem.

  • I’m going to give it 3 stars for good reason

I’m one of the ones that preordered Another Eden, and honestly I enjoyed it, for a while. The interaction is great, the plot is awesome, the characters are great, and the graphics are pretty good, but in the back of my mind I could tell it was all to familiar, like it reminded me of something. I couldn’t put my finger on it until I met the amphibian that joins your party, Cyrus, and I thought, oh ok, this game is literally a off brand of Chrono Trigger. I read this game was made in part of chrono trigger, only problem is it’s very different. One of which was a issue to me was, you were only able to carry one item to heal yourself, which made entirely no sense to me. It’s a rpg you need extra items to heal your team as well as revive. And like chrono trigger there are no elements and no dual element attacks, which also makes no sense to me. Also every character looks like a off brand version of the ones in chrono trigger. I mean if you make a game that looks and feels exactly like chrono trigger, then why drastically change the main mechanics of the game. I do love the game, don’t get me wrong, but I’d much rather play chrono trigger again instead of this. I do apologize.
