  • Such a stunning quiet holiday

From the first message from Lisa you know this is a well organized camp ground and property. Very clear easy instructions on how to get there. Campsites are so visible and clearly marked including the portaloo assigned to that site (camper on site 6 used our loo in camp 7 and wished she hadn’t!). Sites are so large even with someone on the next camp site their so far away. River running through property is so pretty and you can swim and kayak easily.
Lisa and Peter run a well organized property allowing us to share their beautiful home and its surroundings. Every toilet is spotless and maintained daily. Fire wood is available to buy and use in the fire pits on every site. For us a wonderful stay with our grandson who was able to run around and explore. We will be back soon that’s for sure. Thank you Lisa and Peter.

  • We had a great time

Great place to spend time with the granddaughter on her holidays after travelling 11 hours arriving a little late we were greated with a friendly response and shown the area to set up even though it was raining a lot of the time we enjoyed ourselves with a big dam kayaks to use bushwalking tracks big fire pit area ( which unfortunately we only got to use once due to the wet weather ) run by friendly owners that are willing to help you in anyway and a big tick to us is a great place to bring the family dog Blaze our baby truly loved it and we loved that we were able to bring her a big undercover area to sit under at night or out of the rain only thing we would suggest would to maybe put a side wind break on the undercover area as it can get a little windy at times but besides that a awesome spot no other campers around quiet and away from everyone but close to everything with only a 20/30 min drive we will definitely be beck but hopefully in warmer weather so we can enjoy everything on offer there thanks again for a great place to make memories with our granddaughter

  • Dalli’s Campground

Easter weekend at Dalli’s Campground. Great place to relax and take in the views.
The owner Steve Dalli and his partner Donata were so welcoming and nothing was a problem very hospitable. Came for a chat on Sunday to remind us of beer tasting.
Camped in a spot called the ruins plenty to explore for us and the dogs and even a haunted house and graves of yesteryear. Beer tasting and sales even Mr Easter bunny on a fire truck. Worth a stop over and take in the view take a load of your feet on your travels!
Thanks so much Steve and Donata we will be back!!!

  • Amazing relaxing very hospitable home away from home

We found the Collins Family Farm while looking for a RV site for the weekend. I can’t begin to explain how pleasantly surprised we were. The hosts communication about the farm as well as local amenities was superb. Very accommodating and informative. This place is amazing. From the cute goats, horse, chickens, pigs and “Edwardo” the turkey. We never longed for animal companionship. On our first night we were met by what I would call the Collins Family Farm mascot “Cheeta Collins” the most friendly 4 legged feline I’ve come across. He met our dog Kane and after a few games of tag I truly believe they are life long friends it’s truly a unique and beautiful getaway. We were so
Impressed we booked for the following weekend to bring the entire family. A true gem.

  • Superb!

One of my favourite apps to use, to look for unique stays. Highly recommend
  • Not a bad little place to stay…

Quaint little spot. Has very beautiful views of mountains and meadows. Sunsets are stunning. There is water and 30amp power. The owner brought a honey wagon down for our black tank. And will take care of emptying it. Our neighbors where a bit loud (arguing outside late at night). And the shower was broken. The only toilet is a homemade composting toilet. Which my wife didn’t like to use much. They have two sweet as pie dogs. However they run loose and it was a little tough with our two going crazy in the RV as they sniffed around the camper. We also had to make sure they weren’t around every time we had to bring our dogs out. The site was somewhat level and took a bit to get our rig situated in the space. The power pedestals only have a 50amp plug… so no where to plug in a heated water hose. As we are here in February our water hose did manage to freeze one night. Overall with a little bit of work this could be a very nice spot.

  • Worst app

This app is so frustrating. I have been using this app for years and on the mobile phone it is very annoying to navigate.

There have been on going problems using it for a long time.

It is very inconsistent, I’m a host and some times when you open it there are no problems it takes you straight to the host page.

Other times it opens on the home profile page which is for me to book camping sites. On this page it is often very difficult and frustrating to change to the hosting profile.
Often the link to the hosting page is hidden and unable to access.

When you go into the map there’s no close button anywhere so I can’t go back, so I have to close the app down and start again.

I’m not the only one who is having this problem.

It’s not good for business as a host and at times I feel like giving up and moving to another camping company who supports their hosts. As a host if you don’t follow up the booking within 24 hours the booking disappears. Hipcamp is not helping the host to be able to achieve this because the app is so inconsistent in being able to access the host pages.

  • Flawed.

Kinda cool. But the app and website has some fatal flaws that need to be addressed. 1. No quick link to Apple Maps or Google maps to quickly see how far away the camp is. There is a link to download an additional app “map box.” Map box then asks for credit card information. Seems like way more hassle for the user vs just simple linking it to the map apps everyone already has? 2. Sent a message to a host. Quickly got an email that the host replied. However I can not see the message in the email. Have to click on view message. Then I am brought to a blank messaging page with no message from the host. Also, no message to be found under my account. I still have no clue what the host said?? For simplicity’s sake just have the message show in the email sent to notify the user that someone replied?

  • Peaceful and quiet

Arrived at site 3 but it needed a mow which happened to be done the next morning so since we were the only ones there we chose another site in the shade but host David is forgiven as he’s just finished harvest. Sites 1-4 are the first as you come down the long picturesque driveway and nearest the modern clean toilets. There are many beautiful sites to choose from. There was a thunder and lightning storm and David reassured us that we were in a good spot in the event of a fire and thank goodness that didn’t happen.
We can recommend this stop for a peaceful night and wonderful views. There was a bin for our rubbish and the toilets are open 24/7.
We didn’t do a wine tasting but you can just go and sit on the deck and enjoy the views.
Only a short drive from the granite sky walk at Porongurup.

  • Just passing thru

We stayed one night. Owner was easy to communicate with. Property was a pasture, inside of a gate off a gravel road. Roads leading to the property were in good condition, wide and easy to navigate. It was quiet and although felt like you were in the middle nowhere, you are actually not far from the highway, although you can’t hear any road noise. I recommend exiting the highway across from the gas station to avoid a steep dip on the other entrance. We were in a 37ft 5th wheel. I would not recommend anything bigger, as the gate entrance is a bit tight but very doable. Getting out was no problem.
I would recommended this place and plan to stay again in the future as needed when we pass thru. Not sure if electric hook up is available, as we have a solar system and did not need hook ups just for an overnight stay. 5 star rating as far as I’m concerned.
