  • Pure Bummer

I was so excited to buy a new Cannondale for the connectivity and I’ve found the app difficult to get going and logging accurately. It is difficult to get the sensor to read. It takes me a few minutes to get it working. Often I think it’s working but it will have stopped at some point. I wish it would let me manually stop it so that it’ll keep recording until I want it to. There’s great potential once it works better.

  • Setup was not easy

I just bought a new Cannondale and was excited to use the app. It’s cold, windy & raining here, so I haven’t yet taken my first ride, but I’d like to explain why setup was not easy and needs to be improved. While setting up the app, the bike sensor recognized my bike model after a few tries, but then the app required me to enter my wheel size, tire width, and tire circumference. The Cannondale website told me my model’s wheel size, but not the other two stats, so I called the bike shop, who wasn’t sure. I plugged in what the bike shop told me they THOUGHT my tire width & circumference were, but the app defaulted to a different number for the circumference, and then it wouldn’t save and displayed an error message. I appreciate that a support person replied to me within a couple hours — twice — and that he explained to me what to do with the app. However, the app itself needs to be improved. I suspect that many people will not know their tire width and circumference (especially if this info is not on the website) and that the app needs to explain where to find that information. Further, if the app is going to fill in the circumference, it should explain that also so the user doesn’t change that number. I will submit an updated review after I take my first few rides.

  • Great app but make sure your cannondale has sensor

This app works very well with my Synapse Neo. It automatically records all my rides and shows the route on a map. I use it on every ride.

I also bought a Habit Neo and tried to use it but it does not have a wheel sensor.
  • So Far, So Good !

My new Cannondale Quick 4 came with the Garmin wheel sensor, and I was able to fit in 3 rides, using the Cannondale Connect app, before we got 17” of snow here in Massachusetts.

My bike was recognized right away and I used a different GPS tracker at the same time. The distance and time data has been quite consistent.

The app’s built in info related to maintenance and parts, and linked videos for training on aspects of maintenance is very beneficial for me.

This app running on my iPhone on the SP-Connect mount of the handlebar stem, gives me a large visual display screen and is motivating me to start cycling a lot more into the future (once the snow and ice recede). It is all working as intended so far :-)

  • Horrible app

Major connectivity issues. The app is completely useless. Sensor that the app pairs with is a garmin sensor and synchs seamlessly with my watch once I paired it. I gave up on the app and just use it with my watch. So consolation prize is that it’s a $30 sensor that I didn’t have to buy from Garmin and install myself. Very disappointed that Cannondale did such a poor job with this. From a customer experience, I would have been happier without the sensor and the couple hours I wasted on the app. Really detracted from the excitement of a new bike and soured me on the brand.

  • Great app, need manual tracking

Love the app and how easy it was to register my new bike. I track my workouts with my Apple Watch so wouldn’t need another app tracking my progress. That being said, I love how this app has service reminders and being able to manually upload my workouts would allow me to utilize that functionality. 3 out of 5 for now but 5 out of 5 if we can make that adjustment.

  • Lost all the gps info

I know that you mention it, but after the last update (nov2020) the app asked me to log in again. There were 3 options (gmail, Facebook, Apple) and I chose one of them randomly. There was no way to know how I was logged in the app before. In any case once I logged in I had to sync again and now all my past rides don’t have the info that was captured by the GPS. At least the sensor kept a track of the miles and the dates.

  • Long way to go

I love my Cannondale bike and really want this Cannondale app to work, but it just doesn’t. I am happy when it tracks my rides properly but it still has a long way to go and is hit or miss. After my rides, I end the ride and sync the device to my app and it tells me all the cool info I want to know about my ride ... but then a few hours later, it adds my drive home (after the bike has been dismantled) and skews all the historical data. So frustrating!!

  • It’s ok

The best feature of the app is that it overrides my work’s requirement to put my phone to sleep after five minutes of “inactivity” so I’m able to have the app open my entire rides. The features are limited and if you stop to take a break, it easily assumes your rise is over and resets your data. It’s decent enough, but Cannondale could do a lot more.

  • Clunky and doesn’t do a whole lot

Nice intentions, but fails to deliver much of any experience. Clunky and seems to not really work most of the time. Also where it could be a resource specific to the model of bike and features, it only provides a generic user manual with features that don’t even apply to my bike model. And the features, information for which I am seeking, are nowhere to be found in the manual here. HUGE way to go to make this a useful feature/benefit that can be advertised with the bike.
