    Application work well. Suggestion: Add temperature alarm with notification. That could help in low temperature season.
  • Working so far

    Was easy to connect to my new costco saluspa hot tub. Don’t worry if it says email activate failed. Just login and it should work. Will play around with scheduling later
  • It’s working again

    I updated the App in June 2023 and it broke. I just couldn’t get anything to work because it failed to connect and register. So I tried the Bestway App. That registered and connected and I could control the Spa for about 1 minute, then the App reported the Spa was off-line. Today I noticed that Lay-Z-App was updated again in July 2023, so I downloaded it and after a couple of attempts the App connected and I can control the Spa completely via WiFi.

  • Works but sketchy…

    Works but you need to remember that this is from a Chinese company. Set it up, give it the access it asks for, then go back in your settings and turn off location, Bluetooth, and local network access in your iOS settings, it works just fine without these after you set it up. I also highly recommend that you put this on a separate wireless network with no access to your other personal devices. You should do this with all misc internet connected things. Wireless is weak for my Spa pump so you need to have great wireless signal on your phone for this to have just a good connection.

    Dont waste your time downloading as it does not work. You need a confirmation email to activate your account and there isnt one!!!!
  • Basically useless

    This is rarely working, constantly says the spa is offline, which it isn’t, inaccurate readings from spa to app. Honestly, it’s useless.
  • Awesome

    For an additional function (not something that influenced my spa purchase), this application is great. It shows the current temperature, allows you to adjust the set temperature (+ filter on/off), controls the air jets, and has full scheduling functions. I flippin love it!

    I would absolutely love an Apple Watch version. It wouldn’t even need to have any real functionality - just having the ability to check the status (what’s on/off etc,) and the temperature would be handy.

  • A Work in Progress

    The fact that this doesn’t work on 5G networks is maddening. Documentation is non-existent as far as I can tell. And the interface is not intuitive. For example: the Start time reads “Start in” when, as far as I can tell, it should just say Start Time. The start time is set using the 24-hour clock times (make sure you click “OK” to get the time setting to take). It took me a while to realize that the settings did not mean “start in” a specified number of hours. The start time allows you to set time in minutes and seconds, the Duration has separate settings for hours and minutes. Go figure.

    My phone seems to want to reset to the 5G network regularly which probably explains many of the problems I’ve had with the app (like my schedules not working). I’ve just told it to forget the 5G network. I’ll post another review if this fixes things.

    My advice to Bestway would be to put some decent instructions on their web site pertaining to the use of this app. And change the wording on the display from “Start in” to “Start Time” (if that is indeed the actual meaning). I suspect the lack of 5G support is a hardware issue in the pump/heating unit. I think an update is long overdue if that’s the case.

    So far, my impression is that the product itself (the Saluspa) is a decent product who’s reputation is being marred by their lack of attention to customer support.

  • Great Spa, the worst app ever

    So tired of having to constantly reload my spa onto this app. It really is useless. Maybe try making a remote control for the spa because you sure can’t make an app.
