  • Deleted card

    This app was working fine until I had to transfer a card to another device. I had 4 cards in total and I transferred ONLY 1, and it deleted one card off the main device which left me with 2 left WHEN I SHOULD HAVE 3 left. There is no direct customer support open right now and this is now ruining my trip here. This is ridiculous. GET the physical card to make sure you don’t run into any issues.

  • Missing trains because the app takes too long to load the ticket

    The app needs a more reliable way of producing tickets for the metro. I’m missing the trains because it takes so long to load!

    Update: This card has been more of an inconvenience than anything. I wish I would have never bought it and just paid tap-to-pay on everything. It would have been more convenient and cheaper.

    Complete waste of money, avoid this app based card!

    Does not work on public transport. SSL certificate for in-app links is 1 month expired.

  • Doesn’t work!

    This app is trash. After paying for a card the app won’t activate it. It gives me a message saying “check your internet connection” even when I’m connected.

  • Waste of money

    I looked into this and, at first, it seemed like a good idea. Turned out to be virtually useless. It’s not entirely clear HOW to use it as most reservations are not online. In many cases, there was no way to submit the card for discounts or reservations.

    I would not recommend.

  • App not working

    The app kept glitching when I tried to activate my card saying that I had to check my internet connection when I did have internet. I then tried deleting and re-downloading the app but then it wouldn’t let me register my card with the re-downloaded app as I had registered it previously. My partner tried to use the QR code to check in to GVB but it wasn’t accepted so we’ve now both had to try and instead get a physical card.

  • Great app

    The negative reviews on this nearly put me off getting this for our trip to Amsterdam. It really isn’t that bad at all. We found it very easy to use. Loved the benefits from the free admissions. And it made getting the trams very very convenient. I’d highly recommend it
  • Not worthy the money app have major issues

    This app is awful. The QR code wasn’t working in some places and the maps weren’t showing the places nearby where we could use the card.
  • Card is lost - After Transferring

    Honestly this is the worse app i ever seen. I bought three card and my card is lost after i transferred to my friend.
  • Uncooperative and Rude Iamsterdam Store Rep

    As a family of 4 adults the card proved to be very cost effective. We initially opted for the digital card but anticipating issues with thefour of us boarding and deboarding trams and buses with a digital card we decided that we would trade in the digital cards for hard copies once we arrived at Central Station in Amsterdam. At the store we were met by a rude and uncooperative Iamsterdam representative with a haughty attitude who managed to turn this simple straightforward transaction into a challenging and frustrating experience. Only after lengthy machinations were we able to finally secure hard copies. She was a terrible ambassador for not only the Iamsterdam brand, but the beautiful city and it’s wonderful people.
