Customer Service is Lacking

I booked a cleaning and paid in full upfront. The day of the job, my cleaner did not show up and did not communicate with me at all. No calls, no messages through the app, no texts- nothing. Certainly I was entitled to a refund so I sent two messages through the app and received no response whatsoever. I ended up having to dispute the charge through my bank. Terrible, non- responsive service. I almost think this app is a scam. Do not use.

Cancelled service blamed on me

App is really easy 2 use. Service is horrible, though. They cancelled my service two days in a row & tried 2 blame it on me, saying that I cancelled it. Then changed their answer saying they weren’t able 2 get a hold of the cleaner assigned to the job. This was 2.5 hours after they were supposed to start cleaning. Horrible horrible service

No value

I paid for a housekeeper to clean my 2b/2ba apartment and added laundry extra. Long story short, only the outside of my toilets were cleaned, my floors were not vacuumed, sheets not washed, laundry left wet on the bed and in dryer, bath contents not removed from the tub for cleaning and my mirrors were not cleaned. My second room was not cleaned, only the bed made. $156 was my total and I was only refunded $34 for their piss poor job. Never again and I don’t recommend that you do either.

Cleaning lady

My first attempt with Tidy and it was a total bust. Cleaning lady didn’t speak one word of English and did a mediocre job at best. Very disappointed with the service. She didn’t have any cleaning experience and half the areas were left dirtier than before — streaks and smudges galor.

To call the person you sent to our house a PRO us blatant false advertising. What are your standards for evaluation? Do you provide any training? The person sent to us couldn’t wipe a mirror and used the same rag in the floor to then wipe a dish in the sink. Nothing was cleaned.

Great Tech, Horrible Customer Service, Terrible Cleaning

The tech is super easy to use and user friendly. Makes the bookings easy to do. However, not worth the terrible cleaning service. The cleaner we received refused to clean basic cleaning protocols. The basic ones that Airbnb hosts require their guests to do. I tired contacting customer service and they ignored my messages. The cleaner would get in contact with their rep and would tell him they “called me” when they never did. Do NOT book through this app. There are other cleaning apps superior to this. The modern tech is worthless if they can’t get the actual service of CLEANING done well.

Awful Experience

Awful in every way. Booked someone 2 days in advance and 1 hour before they were supposed to arrive, they canceled. Someone else was rescheduled for 2 hours later. He showed up 30 minutes late. I booked a 6 hour 15 minute cleaning that allowed time for detailing and paid extra for him to bring his own supplies. I don’t even know where to start with how bad this cleaning job was.

Here’s what he didn’t do:

Dusting (only went over a few surfaces, most were left dusty)
Trash
Stairs
Hard Floors (crumbs still found in every corner of the kitchen)
Kitchen sinks
Microwave
Shower edges and shelves
Couches weren’t vacuumed
Mirrors were streaked (you can barely see your reflection)

And the extra “cleaning supplies” my money got me was lemon water. I know this because he left it in my shower and the house did not smell clean.

And when he first arrived, he asked me and my partner separately “what do you want me to do?” I thought our order specified all this. All I can assume is he really didn’t know. He even asked “Should I do the upstairs?” Again, our order clearly specified the whole house. Why else would we book for over 6 hours. Regardless, he left 5 hours in.

I complained to the company to which they offered for him to come back. I refused of course because why would I want him to come back?? So I could go around from place to place showing him how to clean?? I might as well do it myself!

Then they offered a free 2 hour cleaning with a promo code. I booked this service and then again, I was canceled on just before the cleaning was meant to begin. They told me they wouldn’t have someone else available until the following week. SO my cleaning would just be left undone. Then I asked for a refund. They refunded the extra 2 hours. I said no, I wanted a full refund as the job wasn’t even close to completed. They never responded.

Please don’t waste your time or your money here.

Too unreliable

I am forced to give 1 star. Customer support is kind and always present, and I love the idea. But the execution is simply not there “yet”. My first attempt at getting a cleaning was canceled out of nowhere without any notification to me. They gave me a discount so I booked another one. This second attempt was a no show. So they gave me another discount and I booked a third one. This one showed up, but in the 3 hours and 15 minutes that was supposed to take to clean my entire apartment, she only got half of it done. Needs a more reliable system and more control on the efficiency of the cleaners.

Professional and Thorough

The app was easy to use and the booking process was seamless. Within a few minutes of stating what I needed, the booking went through and I was talking to the person coming to clean.

On the day she arrived on time, clarified what I needed, gave consideration to the fact that I was working and left everything in place and well cleaned.

The app was a little buggy - I got a notification saying that the clean had been completed hours before it was due to start. But it was quickly resolved when I notified Tidy app’s help desk, who quickly resolved the matter.

I enjoyed the service and would happily recommend it to others, I used it for a one time service this time and now feel confident booking it has recurring service.
