  • One of a kind app!!!

This is an amazing one of a kind app! I am in love with the responses it generates based off your journal entries. It is very personalized and has very much helped me though a lot of tough times, especially when therapy (or my therapist) wasn’t available. I also was starting to make use of the sessions for negative thinking with the speakers and it was very gentle and offered good realistic tools to utilize. I also enjoyed how you could input in the middle of the videos haha.

However, as I was going to renew my subscription today.. I was presented with a message that the services are winding down and that they are no longer offering new subscriptions. I am deeply saddened to see this app go, as I truly have not experienced another quite so personalized and in depth as this one. I hope it can return and recover in the future, because it will be hard moving on from this. The creators did a detailed phenomenal job at the work invested in this app, and I’m saddened to see it go. I wish I could support more. Thank you for all the tough times you’ve gotten me through. :) highly recommended!

  • Used to Recommend

I used to recommend this app to everyone, and I used it daily to manage my anxiety and panic disorder in some of my worst days. Like most things, it works if you let it and depending on your willingness to commit to practicing what you learn and tuning in regularly.

I don’t like that there are not frequent updates on topics - the same content I watched 2 years ago is still what’s offered). There’s an extremely limited extent to the “courses” - after a few months you’ve basically done everything there is to do here. I also truly cannot get past the new look that they went with. It is unsettling and actually confusing in terms of navigating to the content I would like to consume within the app.

If I had to base it on the cons alone, I’d only give it 2 stars - hence why I no longer use it myself - but I hope they continue to develop it to be more helpful and not just showy, because the content really is so helpful.

  • I never post reviews, but this is incredible.

I’m the past I’ve gone to traditional therapy and it was helpful to a point, but not all the time and it felt like my therapist never really got to the heart of my problem. After college therapy wasn’t in my budget, but when I came across Bloom about a year ago I decided to give it a try. It was great, but I didn’t keep up with it consistently. About a month ago I picked it back up again, and with all the new improvements I’m blown away with how helpful, insightful, and poignant the content is. Their diagnostic tool helped put me on a content course to help target my anxiety and I’m blown away with how much improvement I’ve had in the past month, honestly it’s much better than my experience with traditional therapy. The accessibly and impact have changed me for the better, and it’s also a great tool for people who want help, but struggle with isolating tendencies (like me). It’s also great because I can do it wherever, even if it’s curled up in bed at 1AM after a rough day. It really takes down any obstacles to pursuing help.

  • The best, most useful self-help app I’ve come across!

I am so grateful to have found this app because it has made a big difference in my healing journey. It is a great addition to my ongoing therapy. I especially appreciate the journal exercises. I have come to know and understand things about myself that I didn’t really think about. I love the variety of programs the app offers. And if my love for the app was not enough - recently, the addition of the ‘Today’s Advice’ feature has taken it to the next level for me! Being in the tech field, I truly appreciate how quickly the app has adapted to the latest technology and put it to use in such a beautiful and thoughtful way. I have great admiration for both the team responsible for developing this application and the company's mission and vision. I will be continuing to use this app and recommending it to many, many people. Thank you for creating this amazing app!!

  • I love this app, and I owe a lot to it regarding how far I’ve come in my mental health journey.

So, I’ve only been using this app for a week, but I already see a huge difference regarding my mental health. My anxiety and intrusive thoughts were really acting up this past week because of stress. But, I took the the first step in my healing journey by getting this app. I can’t say enough good things about bloom. It helps me sort out my mind and thoughts by asking their introspective questions and their relaxing activities. It make healing and learning better reactions+behavior to my anxiety and intrusive thoughts. So, yeah I’m very thankful for bloom and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this app for anyone starting/taking the first step in their mental health journey. It make a lot of it simple and not frustrating. Also, I recommend s to people who are just stressed and looking for a relaxing way to vent their worries.

  • Really rad app!

The good: great content that covers an incredibly wide field of emotions. Really teaches the basics of CBT to help users build a strong foundation. Programs are fantastic. I've had a really rough time the last 6+ months and this has been a game changer and mental health life saver.

Suggestions for the app developers: very small things! First: If you restart a program, it doesn't show up on your home-screen like it does the first time (and automatically loads the next days once completed). You have to either remember what you did or check your entries log, then go to the program and manually start the next video in that program. If there was a way to repeat an already completed program without having to go through these steps every time, it would be that much more better.
Second: it would be great if there was a way to collaborate with Apple Health so that this counts towards your "Mindfulness" minutes, similar to apps like "Insight Timed" have this sort of relationship. Like however long you have the app open while journaling or working a program.

Thank you all, keep up the great product!

  • Great app

I have been using bloom for one year now and i love how it is able to help me develop as a person. Mental health with CBT is like working out. You need to do it routinely and practice periodically. This app app allows you to do that by giving you all the control but acting as a guide using leading questions. It opens your mind to using openness and curiosity as methods of exploring oneself. I only wish they would introduce a larger variety of concepts. It is very surface level and touches on problems very well at the surface but doesn’t really dive to deep into the concepts being explored. I wish it would have a larger variety of videos that were structured for people who have been doing CBT for a while.

  • I love love this app!

So, I came across Bloom because of an Instagram ad. I have been going to therapy since towards the end of 2020. Since going, I’ve been into learning more about therapy and circling becoming a therapist myself. My therapist has done some cbt techniques and was curious to learn more about it and find an app that would work for me when I want to take a break from therapy and come back for check ins with her. I’ve also shown her the app which and how I used a prompt to help me process losing a friend.

Not only does bloom remind me that I’m growing by its name, I always come away feeling better. I love the background music and the soothing voices. I’ve used different sessions to help understand family better and deal with a friendship break up (I would love a session specifically for when a friend breaks up with you). I love that I can track my growth through journal entries and the different prompts. It is definitely worth the $50 for premium. I would totally recommend if you are looking to boost mental health, growth and into cbt. Thank you bloom team for creating this app, the free trial, and the affordability for a yearly subscription! Excited fo see how it grows! :)

  • This is what I’ve needed for a while!

Given my background as a South Asian-American, first-generation undergraduate college student, I was always instilled with the belief that mental & emotional hardships were never as important as physical ones. But as I’ve gotten older, all of the above degrees of health have declined; I am now immunocompromised and even after my diagnosis, pushed my body and ignored my emotional & mental state.

I’ve only had Bloom for a short time but it’s exactly what I needed. The graphics of the app are calming and make navigating the app simple. Having so many helpful exercises at hand really makes grounding oneself and motivating oneself so easy.

I love it :’) my only suggestion would be to add exercises related to school. When I took the initial quiz which individualizes your program, I chose work in place of school as my main stressor. I do work part-time but school is my full-time focus and actual stressor. Some of the exercises underneath the work tab are applicable for me, but not all.

That’s all. Thank you and good luck to everyone! 🫶🏽🫂

  • Awesome App

I was initially against a CBT app because I thought therapy should really only be done with a therapist. However, I have made a good deal of progress in only a week of using the app that I haven’t made in a year of weekly therapy. It is also something I can do daily which therapy with my therapist is only weekly.

I only give 4 stars because the music doesn’t loop correctly. I had to turn it off completely which is sad because I really liked it. I’m also experiencing a good number of bugs like the app will appear in portrait mode when I am in landscape mode. Or I will write big journal entries for a course, but won’t be able to copy and paste it to my email for future work. I’ll press … buttons and nothing will pop up. It’ll just be a pointless button press. There’s also no computer mode, which I don’t understand. I have to use a bluetooth mini keyboard so I can type well enough. It’s too hard to really get my thoughts on page by thumb typing on my phone.

I highly recommend the app despite these.
