  • Not great

*Update* The new MyEnergyCenter app does not appear in the iPhone settings list, so there's no way to turn on/off permissions, such as location. Attempts to change settings within the app simply open the main settings window because the app "can't find" the specific settings page for the app.

    (1) There should be a way to set up autopay from a credit card. Most companies have this. With SDGE, they make you go through Bill Matrix and reenter all of your information each month, plus pay a "convenience" fee. (2) The CCA notice that shows at the top of the main screen every single time you open the app or go back to the main screen, even if it was dismissed already, should either be moved to a different place, or stay closed once dismissed. (3) Stop forcing updates every few days. Most apps allow, but don't force, updates. Updating is good but not when the user is forced to update nearly every single time they open the app. (4) Although nothing to do with the app itself, SDGE delivery rates are OUTRAGEOUS. Also, electricity should not be subject to local taxes and customers should not have to pay "public purpose" fees (aka welfare) to subsidize other customers already getting welfare from the government! That's ridiculous!

  • Price Gouging Law is coming!

I can’t wait for the Price Gouging Law to go into affect. This company will be one of the first the federal government is going after. I hope people go to jail over this. 1400SQFT homes should not have $600-$1000 Electric bills. TOU pricing needs to be against the law. Nobody can control when their A/C kicks on to maintain a moderate 78 degrees. Perhaps stop allowing poor building codes! My 20 year old house has no wall insulation and non insulated windows. What is this the 1930’s? Nobody is starting laundry at 9pm. We can’t control when our electric cars need charging. Imagine having to wait to fill your gas car up until after 9 pm. That sounds so stupid because it is so stupid. TOU discounts is the equivalence of Apple trying to say using lightning cables rather than converting to USB-C is saving people money. Or the equivalent of Apple saying they don’t include charges because you can use your older charger when we all know it’s because Apple just wants to sell you a fast charger to make extra revenue. TOU is the very thing the Price Gouging Law will be going after!

  • Seriously?

This app is the digital representation of California. It seems that everything that California makes, is half-a**ed. The roads, the apps, the laws, and the women. Even though gas and housing is ridiculous, the least you guys could do is make the back button work. Don’t make a wrong decision or the whole thing shuts down like an over stimulated autistic child. Also, thanks for the notice of the app name and icon change and I’m sure some additional fees were added too. Why as working class citizens should be pay for a Nuclear Decommissioning charge, when WE THE PEOPLE didn’t ask for it in the first place. California will either burn or fall into the ocean when the Lord opens up the San Andreas fault. God, will that be a great day.
