  • Email +1 Business Day for Every Charge

If you like to ask permission to charge your own car than this is the place for you! They might respond today, they might respond tomorrow, but don’t worry you may (or may not) be able to charge! Usually they can activate a charge session for you the following business day, hope you can wait that long plugged in.

Been a customer for 2 years and was ok, until the past 4 months and 13 emails I have not been able to activate a single charge myself and requires reaching out to the customer support team. Just like all other poor customer support teams they will lie about troubleshooting the problem and waste everybody’s time.

Safe to say I try to avoid using loop at all costs, but unfortunately it is installed where I live :(

  • Terrible app, terrifying reliability

This app is designed with unintuitive windows, lost buttons (requiring the user to select return on iOS before seeing the next button), successive buttons that are in the exact same position (meaning it is very easy to accidentally double tap start and then it actually stops).

Horrifying. They must have designed this app on the cheap and without any ongoing design improvements.

  • Buggy / bad deal / charger hosts please use a different service!!

Wow, where to start… first the app doesn’t even support Rivian as a make. Have now been standing here for 15 minutes trying to get it to accept my money, but keeps hitting unspecified errors. Cumbersome signup process. Plus, their commercial model is TERRIBLE ($1 activation fee + $0.30/kWh at this particular location @ 7 kW means VERY expensive charges if you’re here for an hour or two). I hate this “recharge” mode… why do I need to have $10 that I can’t get back scattered across a dozen different charging apps? Appears to have no smart integration / grid services. Looks like I’m going to be plugged in but get no charge for this session. AVOID.

The Loop app is compatible with Rivian models. We do acknowledge this vehicle manufacturer has not been added to our app quite yet. There will be compatibility issues with your Rivian, but your concerns are valid, Don Quixote. We understand your concern regarding cost to charge, and want you to know that each charging site is operated independently. The site operator has the ability to change pricing to fit their individual needs, and the needs of their constituency. We recommend sharing this feedback with them as well. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
  • If you’re charging station is below ground, beware!

    I’m borrowing a car.
It has an assigned parking station 4 levels below the ground.
Since phone service is required to operate LOOP & T-mobile doesn't work at 4 levels underground, i will have to find someone to let me use their station closer to the surface of the earth. Don’t appreciate LOOP right now.

  • Took me 20 minutes to make changer work

Took 20 min to start a charge for 10 minutes… price is higher than other chargers. I would not recommend.

  • App is sub par, overcharging and chargers often offline

My apartment got lv2 chargers installed by loop. Not only did I lose all the magic of having a Tesla, I also am regularly billed more than the electricity used by my vehicle (not kwh added, but simply used) and in the almost 2 months of having the charger available, they’ve been offline several times with no explanation. I opted to do a $15 month + per kWh subscription, but I cannot see or manage my subscription in the app. The rates are almost as high as a supercharger ($0.35/kwh).

1 star because support is easy to reach, but generally not equipped to help solve issues. Otherwise, 0 stars.

Like every other charging experience, this is pretty poor, but also among the more expensive.

  • Easy to use

Super easy to use and activate a charge session
  • Not great

Overall the app is not great and pretty glitchy! The user interface is not intuitive for users and the charging hardware and app have a hard time communicating to each other. I plugged in my Model 3 tesla to charge and I started charge on the app but it's still loading to actually start the charge hours later, despite saying the charger is activated and ready.

  • Not Reliable

Loop is not a reliable company or service. I do not recommend it to anyone.
