  • Customer Service Top Notch

After posting about my issue about no communication to customers on terms before changing the app and forcing a subscription. I received an email from Customer Service/Tech support after my review, then learned there was an issue and Ed was very diligent in helping solve the problem. Thank you for taking care of your legacy customers.

  • Great App!

I’ve been using this app for over three years. I use it both at OTF and for at home workouts. It matches pretty well to my OTF heart rate monitor. I use it all the time- love it.

I also recently reached out to customer service re packages and they responded in a heartbeat. Customer service is outstanding.

  • New business model, absurd subscription prices

I have tons of app subscriptions and I love to support independent app developers. Previously, the Free version of this app allowed you to track a workout and get color zones but history and full stats required a subscription. Now, the dev has removed free functionality, rendering the Apple Watch app useless. I’d gladly pay $10 or something to get that back, but absolutely not $90-$120 per year just for the limited value it provides. Plus, the sudden bait and switch has impacted my trust in the app. For OTF users, an OTBeat (under $100 used, $129 new) presents much better lifetime value, plus in-class connectivity. I’ll switch to one of the other HIIT trackers while waiting for a revision to their business model.

Hey Mr Zwiggy, thanks for the comments in the review. The free version remains available to all of our current users. Please make sure you update to the latest version of the app. We also offer a promotional rate for our subscription to our previous users, 70% off the current retail price. Reach out to us at support@pikfitness.com if you are having trouble accessing these offers.
  • App Sold Out

Used to use this for all of my workouts. I didn’t need any of the premium features that the subscription came with, but it was nice just being able to look down and track what zone I was in and see how many points I was working with during each workout. But a recent update has taken away all free features from the Watch app, which is disappointing to say the least. Even if you go forward with a paid model, there should be an option that comes with base features that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg just to use it.

  • Loved this app until…

I have used this app for over a year now and it is amazing! I loved that they had a free version that still allowed you to track you workouts. But it appears that in the past week or so, they have removed all free features. Now you have to pay which is a huge bummer… not only do you have to pay but $10 a month/ $90 a year. I have other workout apps that have more features for cheaper… they should have offered their current customers better options before just turning off the free features.

If you are an existing user of the Orange Zones app, you can do workouts without a subscription to the app. Please make sure you are on the latest version of the app, version 1.38.6 or later. If you still have trouble, please reach out to us at support@pkfitness.com.
  • Ok, but could be better.

So I got this app because I didn’t want to spend $130 on the HRM. It works great in that it keeps track of my heart rate. I still get summary at the end of the workout… but I do not understand why it isn’t 100% compatible with Bluetooth to the main screen while in class? Is it just a gimmick to get you to buy their branded equipment? I guess.

  • I love coach Karen!

I am a regular member at the orangetheory lacanada and Pasadena studios in southern California and my consistency is in large part to coach Karen Torrell. She is not only an exceptional coach who keeps me motivated throughout my workouts, but is an amazing person who makes me look forward to waking up early on Saturday and Sunday mornings to see. My friends and I at these studios are huge fans of hers and often refer to ourselves as “Karen’s girls” or some 1980’s fan-girl equivalent. She was the first coach I had when I started at this studio, and is an invaluable part of my fitness journey. I couldn’t be more thankful to have met her.

  • This app has really opened doors for me as a new athletes

I am still in the beginning stages of running. I learned to run at Orangetheory, but we don’t have one where I live in the country. My husband found this app and it helps me stay on track, particularly as I am still learning to listen to the cues of my body.I have told many friends about it, I really rely on this app to help me know my heart rate when I am doing cardio.

  • Great for pay

Loved the data that came along with this app. I was looking for a fitness app that matched the level of Fitbit but for my Apple Watch. The interface and data was great but you can’t even view or access any data unless you subscribe which in my opinion defeats the entire purpose of tracking your data.
