  • Drains battery

I love the browser, but since latest update it drains my ipad battery quickly — overnight, with ipad screen off, loses 40% battery with 80% of it the Orion browser. I had to uninstall it. Will try it again in a future upade.
  • Orion is fast, but very buggy

It's nice to have a browser on iOS/iPadOS that lets you install chrome and Firefox addons, but many of them just plain don't work. And there are still lots of other bugs that need to be worked out, like Google docs.

Maybe in a year they will have worked out more of these bugs?
  • Great concept but many bugs

I was one of the beta users of the app and was super excited for full release. There are major issues when attempting to log in via google or apple on some sites (just doesn’t work). I will then open safari and it will work first time. Some sites if you try to zoom in, the app opens the grid view instead, making it impossible to zoom. I keep coming back to this app hoping those things are fixed, but I simply go back to safari each time. I love the ability to add extensions, even though some lack the ability to get to their options without so many bugs. I hope these issues get fixed in the future because the app clearly has potential to be the best.

  • Shrug

Auto fill passwords don’t seem to work. I get weird errors on every website I’ve tried.
  • Best browser

I like the customization that allows you to choose the swipe gestures and the toolbar locations and tab alignment. Runs smoothly and the extensions are a great feature. Color customization transparency and other aesthetic customization would be nice to have but is not needed. Good browser. Much better than the trash that safari and chrome churn out every month.

  • Very good developer!!!!

    Need more updates!!!!
  • Good browser

Amazing browser. Love being able to use the extensions that I normally would.

Recent update when watching videos and clicking the full screen option it brings up the x and the Picture in Picture option. It breaks the control when trying to watch the video. Can’t pause play, skip forward or back. If you hit the x to remove it the screen goes gray and you can no longer see the video. Didn’t have this problem last week

  • No Ctrl-F button

how do yall have a qr code reader but you cant search a webpage
  • Great app, hopefully more features to come

I’ll give this app 4 stars, it’s great at this early stage, but with a few more quality of life features it’ll be a 5. First off, when clicking on a link I’m always prompted to open it in the app of choice, but I don’t get the option to just open it in the browser (also a open in whatever browser of choice could be nice). The options it gives you are “Never, Once, Always, and Cancel”, but “Cancel” doesn’t just automatically open the link in the browser. Another feature I’d suggest is to let us click on the auto fill suggestions in the search to put the words on our keyboard like in Safari. One more good feature is to add tab groups and also let us change the layout of the bottom icons. If you’re reading this, thank you for putting this amazing app on iOS and your work is appreciated.

  • Love the concept, but implementation needs work

I had issues with their desktop browser not supporting certain extensions (namely MetaMask) and when trying on mobile, Dark Reader gets wiped out whenever I close the app and re-open it, forcing me to toggle the extension off then on to get it working again. These small quality of life improvements and compatibility upgrades will go a long way to making Orion my daily driver. I’ll keep checking in on progress from time to time to see how it’s going. Great to see a dedicated team behind this.
