  • Logbook and eCard Issues

I try to log my dives and the none of the dive sites (which is a required item to save the site) populates at all. I had to log into the website to log them individually.
Also, logging multiple dives is tedious because you have to type everything out every single time, rather than having a copy and paste option similar to SSI's app.

I bought my eCards online because the app wasn't working to even search for my certification numbers. Then I tried to upload them and it still says I do not exist.

PADI really needs to invest more into their app design and function if any of their divers will continue to use it. There are clearly years of the same bug issues with this app and it shows.

  • eCards do NOT transfer to new app: UPDATE

Update: Gio from the APAC team assisted me. Quick fix if you have the same issue. Uninstall and reinstall the app. Boom. eCards are their. Thanks Gio!
If you purchased eCards, take screenshots before deleting old app. Your certification eCards do NOT transfer over with your account. The “contact us” isn’t helpful either unless you want send snail mail to one of their physical locations to sort through the issue. Good folks!

  • PADI

I wish there was an option to switch from bar to PSI and certain other metrics due to different metrics in other parts of the world. But other than that, it’s a great app to help keep your logs and keep up on the newest things!
  • Convenient, but…

This app (as a whole) is GREAT!!! But PADI need to update it more frequently, because it doesn’t show all my logged dives nor dose it download my eCards (displaying my scuba certifications) so it needs some work but a great app none the less.
  • Lost e-cards

After the last update I lost my e-cards and it says I don’t have any e-cards on file.

    Update
I had to delete the app and downloaded again so the e card would show up. No issues now.
  • App and website issues

I had weird app issues where it wouldn’t pull any of my data from the website or my logs. After signing out and signing back in, the issue was resolved. Other than that, the app has been great

  • PADI is a disaster

It took forever to simply order a replacement cert card and an e-card and then I could not access the e-card. It is also very difficult to get contact information - need to wade through far too much information. This app really needs to be re-worked. I would avoid it until then.
  • Log book and eCard issues

I was easily able to log my dives using the app during my trip last year. When I went to look at my dives in the app this year it was empty. When I login to the PADI website the dives show up (but are missing information about depth, bottom time, equipment, basically everything except the date and location). I like the idea of a digital log book so I can always log/look up dives without having to remember a physical book, but if the app isn’t reliable a physical book is better.

The eCard feature in the app is frustrating. There isn’t an option to have my eCard loaded to my phone’s wallet. When I showed my eCard to the dive shop we realized it doesn’t actually have my name on it and it didn’t have my picture. I had to login to the PADI website to pull up my eCard which had my name and picture. The whole point of downloading an eCard on my phone is so that I can pull it up at the dive shop without using data (especially if I’m in a foreign country and don’t have signal or WiFi at the dive shop). If the eCard is my phone’s wallet and has all the correct information and picture on it, I can pull it up at the dive shop.

  • Too glitchy to be useful.

First off, it’s fake news that you can load your cert cards into the app. I have PADI Rescue & Nitrox, nothing on down to open water shows up on the app. The dive log randomly deletes your entire log. This has happened to me twice. Contacted customer service, goes in circles, nobody knows how to fix it. Love the concept, but this app is a hot mess. I give up.
  • Not great

App is extremely slow, does not save dive logs. With the older app my two certifications were in the app, now suddenly you have to pay $58usd to get a digital card added to your account? Maybe to get a reprint I’d understand you’d have to pay, but to have my digital cards, that I already had?
