  • Slower than a Sloth

Not useable. The PADI app is needed for the technology driven diver but the app works very slowly when it comes to logging dives and looking up dive sites. The app should also have a function where it can tie you and your buddy’s dive together so you can share notes as well as ensure accuracy of dive record.
  • PADI vs SSI

I am both a PADI and SSI certified diver and use both apps depending on how I an diving with. I like both apps and both are user friendly. I would say SSI’s app is a little better mostly because it allows you to easily save dive buddies info so you can reconnect for future dives. Also, SSI dive site locator is much better. However, PADI allows you to save logged recreational dives with out verification which I like because I often don’t dive with a SCUBA instructor that can verify the dive. Before I became a PADI certified diver I would just log my dives on the SSI app as unverified if there wasn’t a SSI diver master to verify the dive. Both apps are good but I would say I now log my dives on the PADI app and only use the SSI app for the dive site locator and to add dive buddies if they are SSI certified divers.
  • PADI App - very easy to use

This app is very easy to use. The courses are easy to take, are very clear in the information provided, and it is very easy to navigate. I feel fully prepared to transition from this knowledge to the in-person training of diving instruction; confined area dive, dives 1-4, etc. I am very glad I’m taking these courses - recommend it to others.

The only improve is that after completion of a course section, navigating back to the course menu does not reflect the completed course immediately. I have to navigate all the way out of the course and re-enter in order to have it show credit. Small issue, but this happens consistently. Please fix.
  • Dive Log - won’t let me enter location

I was pumped to find out PADI has an app. I went to start entering my dives in the log and it won’t let me enter or search for a location. On top of that it won’t let me save draft when I click exit out of the log. Still some glitches to work out.
  • Logbook doesn’t work

I mainly use the app to log my dives, but here’s the thing: the logbook just straight up doesn’t work. I’ve had this app for a while now, and i’ve never gotten the logbook to work. i’ll try to put in the dive site, but it won’t let me. i’ll click on the thing and i’ll type in the name of the site, and the list of sites just won’t pop up. and then it won’t even let me put the name in (which the website does let me do if it doesn’t recognize the dive site), so i just have to cancel it. the logbook on the website works fine, but the website and app seem completely disconnected because even when i’m logged into my account on both things, my logged dives don’t even show up on the app. so if you’re wanting to get this app for the logbook, don’t. either use the website or just stick to a physical pen and paper book

  • Kwerky

The PADI application is kwerky, some times data is available and some times I have to go out to the website to see my information. Because of this I do not trust using the dive log in the app. My certification data is not consistently available in the app, making its use not fully dependable.
  • PADI

Gives you your e-card quick- if you have found your historic certification on the web site, paid the fee for the e-card, uploaded a jpeg photo, downloaded the app- and then boom - there is your e-card on your phone.
    Actually quick and do able.
  • Been all over

I’ve traveled around the world and it seems this app always has good dive spots on the map defined it if you dive even if you didn’t qualify with PADI
  • Log book doesn’t work

I was really excited about this app, until I started trying to log my dives. The app doesn’t save all the information. I logged my last dive 4x and it wouldn’t save beyond the date and location. This is basically an app for your electronic version of your padi card and nothing more. Very disappointing.
  • Easy to use

So great to be able to have your card when needed and so much helpful information !
    Love it !
