So much potential, but it’s just a Renogy advertising platform
The fact that the charge controller settings are only one of the 4 tabs says it all. No one needs notifications for coupons, a tab for shopping more Renogy products, a whole social media platform? The bloatiest of bloatware, I don’t need “raypoints,” I just need to be able to control my solar rig.
The functionality for the charge controller is clearly an afterthought and the rest of the app is overbuilt. Why do I have to click through multiple options just to change my output mode? It’s the only thing you would want to change frequently (Like changing between manual mode and light control modes) but you have to go through so many pages just to do it. But my “raypoints” are available one tap away? Come on.
At least let me disable those stupid shop and community pages. I can find those already on Amazon and Reddit, I don’t need them here. Why reinvent your own wheel?Show lessCurryPotter7
Keeps asking to save device name
On most occasion opening the app and selecting either DC-DC app or my new Renogy Shunt 300 the app asks me to save the device name repeatedly. I need to click save 2 or 3 times before the device will load in the appJReyM
You need to periodically log in for this to work!
I travel remotely and have on more than one occasion been caught out with my session expiring. There’s no logical reason requiring one to be connected to the internet to use this app.
Having used this app now for more than two year and not seeing this requirement change is super frustratingBen Hoad
Renogy is going the way of Budweiser
Renogy advertises a highly technical piece of equipment. Has all the bells and whistles, solar I bought 4 panels, charges from alternator, monitors batteries… awesome I’m sold I bought the system.
After finishing my install what s great feature to see everything working… but wait, first tab shows my battery half full and never changes. Second tab is advertising things you can buy, third tab is a social media platform for what? I’m trying to be off grid, this tab seems to work great, fourth tab my profile but only shows my name.
In order for me to check my system I have to keep my multimeter near the unit because the app doesn’t work, come on already fire the person who decided your fate will be like Budweiser.

Not off grid
I bought the Renogy One and related relays, MPTT controllers etc to enable my Camper van with central control and app access. The big issue is you cannot use the phone app if you don’t have an internet connection. You can connect via Bluetooth to individual devices but you cannot connect directly to the RenogyOne which has all related Renogy devices configured. Seems a big gap to me but I still like the fact you can map smart relays to the 6 physical switches on the RenogyOne so that at least provides ability to control devices and switch manually or via app if internet connected. Last annoying related issue, RenogyOne won’t connect to password less WiFi hotspots and will also not detect my IPhones local hotspot for internet access either!!!Show lessEdgeriders.com
Locked out by App. Cannot access battery info
this app has been extremely frustrating. I am locked out of it by a password system that does not work. I can reset the password and it still does not work. It logs you out anytime you don’t happen to log into your batteries frequently. Then you have to sign back in and sign in does not work.
Do not buy these batteries. their stated reason for forcing you to login in order to access your battery information is to send you marketing information. I have a bunch of garbage emails, but I cannot find out anything about the condition of my batteries. I spent many hundreds of dollars on these things and I’m very unhappy.Show lessSolitonic
Login No Longer Works
Seems their authentication service has hit an OOM issue (based on the error messaging when signing in) for the last two days and i cannot sign in at all to view my statistics. Completely useless app, really needs to allow viewing connected devices without sign in as Renogy clearly doesn’t properly maintain their backend services.Show lessBdjajdbh
Pointless Features, GUI needs work
I upgraded my Renogy lithium system by adding a Rego Inverter and M1 control panel so I could monitor status remotely. I give the system two stars because it works. Barely. Kept refusing to show me all four batteries. I had to buy individual Bluetooth monitors for each battery so they would communicate. There is no way to control your Rego inverter remotely.
Wether you connect to your system by Bluetooth or remotely using the M1 controller, the system status is challenging to understand. I would like an easy to read single screen showing load vs charge. I do not need social networking components. I don’t care what anyone else is doing. I want to know about my system status only.Show lessMexico Magico
Is this a scam
Renigy products are great thinking specifically I would use. Great app not great customer service support at all. I have use the app to buy small application for my rv. Immediately they took the money for payment and for over a week now have gotten no confirmation email about said purchase or when I should expect it in the mail. You can sign into app but when getting to customer support you can enter your same info to Renogy but nothing In purchases or history. So what’s really going on. If I don’t get answers the back. I will have the bank track the transaction and we can go from there.Show lessstimpy141
Do not buy renogy
The app isn’t that good but the customer service on their product used with the app is horrible. Shop elsewhere, this company probably won’t be around in a years time. The forum on the app is full of previous customers complaining about this app or products or products that were meant to be awarded for a competition run on the app that was never awarded to anyone.Show lessGoing blue ⭐️
