Missing money and no support since February!

I’ve sent someone 300 coins as a gift back in February. The amount was deducted from my Anchor account yet the intended recipient never received. I sent out an email to Anchor and they said that they’ll look into it. NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME!!! So I reached out to them again in April. They said that someone from wallet support would get back to me. It’s now May and still NO RESPONSE!!! A few days ago I tried a test transfer to my sons account to make sure it’s not just a problem with the previous recipient and sure enough the transfer never showed up in his account even though it was deducted from my account. This is causing a tremendous amount of fear and anxiety because I have a significant amount of money in my Anchor account and due to this past years shutdown, my income is limited. My biggest concern is now that my investments are seeing huge returns, will I be able to withdraw the profits without them mysteriously disappearing?! Purchasing coins works perfectly. The issue is sending, transferring, or withdrawing. My suggestion to anyone looking for an exchange to buy crypto is to avoid AnchorUsd!

SCAM-or no?

Edit- I was able to begin the withdrawal process after transferring my balance to my email and signing in through the email link. Not sure if this is what fixed the issue or if it just registered the withdrawal as a deposit due to a glitch. Other friends of mine have had no issues receiving all their earnings. I wrote this review quickly after encountering a problem and will revise it after receiving the funds. Until then.. original review in parentheses below.

(scam alert a friend recommended this app to me and despite being able to quickly buy coin I was unable to withdraw as it tried to deposit instead of withdrawing. There’s little customer support and the developer page is non existent. I’m just glad I didn’t invest more in this platform)

SCAM!

I first went into to AnchorUSD without a hitch back two months ago to invest in Dogecoin because I heard that you didn’t need a SSN card. For awhile things went well and I had no problems. But as of tonight, I am currently unable to transfer any of the money from AnchorUSD to my bank account despite not having any issue of that before hand. If your bank deposit doesn’t go through enough times, they cancel that account for funding stocks.

Also with withdrawing funds, I was able to do it twice without any issue, but now AnchorUSD wants my ID and Address which is very suspicious when being level three verified is optional. Bright side is that, I at least made a $60 profit from my two withdrawals from this app, but aside from that it’s a big scam.

No customer service!

So I accidentally lost access to my old 2FA. I had to request resets from any platform or exchange I used. Some took a week or 2 at most but I got them all reset. However, it saddens me to say, it has been over 4 months and AnchorUSD has still not performed my 2FA reset. I submitted everything required and got approval and AnchorUSD said it would take a few days to reset. I literally email them daily to remind them. They say ‘we have escalated to our manager and should be done soon’.
I hear this over n over and still nothing. I am at a lost for words. No number to call. Just praying that their back office finally helps. Now I must leave a one star review in hopes it gets their attention. No customer or client should be put through this neglect.

Missing $30,000 for weeks - no help from customer service! DO NOT USE!!!

An absolute nightmare of an App. Do not let the ‘no fees’ attract you, this app has absolutely the worst customer service ever; just do a quick search online for similar situations like mine.

I’ve emailed customer service (the only way to reach them, by the way) every single day for the past several weeks and received little beyond automated responses. I’m experiencing a bug that has erased my entire portfolio of $30k and open margin positions and no one is helping me, and I don’t know how to proceed beyond emailing them since there is next to nothing online about this company; even their only other email, which is for legal inquiries, isn’t responding!!!

Only use this app if you want your money stolen...

Using since December

I have been using this app since December. I deposited a decent amount of money in my account with anchor USD. They took a full week to take the money out of my checking account. I kept this for a few months and made a withdrawal just to see how that would work. It took almost an exact week to get my money back in my account. They pay the interest daily and I think it is awesome.
As far as buying crypto and stocks, I have not had any problems. I have not done a lot of it, it seems to work fine. They definitely charge a little more than the current price of the crypto.
In the end I am 100% satisfied. Where else can I get almost 8% interest. I would like to know if this is really FDIC insured. I would really like anchor USD to just clarify this for us.

Can’t Recommend

I initially signed up because Robinhood stopped the sale of Dogecoin. That was months ago and I still can’t get verified. It says in the app 2 weeks, max. That’s a lie.

Then, I decided to withdraw the Cardano I bought and transfer it to my Coinbase wallet. Despite copying the wallet address directly from Coinbase, several hours later my Cardano is nowhere to be found. I have never heard of Cardano taking several hours to be verified.

I have yet to be contacted by support. Luckily I didn’t deposit a large amount because I wanted to make sure this app was legit. I paid a small price to see this is one of the last places I’ll ever put my money, again.

This is a scam. Zero customer support.

Long story short, I deposited thousands of dollars to invest in crypto. I also added $500 to the stock portion of this app. As a test, to see how long it would take to get money back out I then initiated a transfer back to my account.
It never got there. The money is no longer in my AnchorUSD wallet, it’s DEFINITELY not in my bank account. It’s just fine. I have emailed AnchorUSD repeatedly and get canned responses. It’s been over a month. The money is gone. They won’t do anything. And best of all what about the other few thousand I have in crypto? Once I sell will that also just vanish? Seems I have no recourse but to sue? Apple won’t do anything. Buyers beware.

Don’t trust with your money

I had high hopes for this app. Did everything on my end to get verified so I could start trading and it’s been over two weeks and....crickets. Contacted customer support over 5 times and was told they are checking into the holdup. Well, there’s still a holdup and for some reason they cannot get their act together. Seems like I am just repeating myself and getting nowhere.
Pick another, more reliable platform to trade on as I would not trust them with my money if they can’t simply do a verification.
Oh, Anchorusd, still waiting on follow up to my question on how to delete my personal data since I don’t trust you with that either.

Taking a chance. Lets see how it goes

Update: I received the email that my ADA purchase was available for withdrawal. I was able to transfer my currency to my hardware wallet just fine. I ensured my vpn was disconnected. The app is giving me an alert that they are not able to process my brokerage account and that my name is on the waitlist but my account was already verified. I don’t know why I am getting the alert. There was no issue for me with this app so I’ll keep the 5 star rating and will continue to purchase ADA with this exchange.

After reading some of the latest negative reviews, I was hesitant on trying out this app. So far so good though.I was able to get verified quick and linked my bank account to purchase Cardano(ADA).I turned off my vpn on my phone to avoid any technical issues. I decided to invest a very small amount in case something shady occurs within this platform.

If there is no issue, I will invest more and keep my rating at 5 stars. If I come across issues, I will contact support first and depending on how well the experience is there I may lower the rating down to 1 star.
