I’ve loved learning from MJS - I’ve been painting for only a year and can’t seem to do less detail in my paintings, so I’m giving in. I’ve shaped a couple of my brushes as he shows and it’s beneficial. He’s excellent at teaching. I’ve tried a few others, but his style is helpful for achieving whatever style you want to incorporate. done watercolour for years. Wasn’t amazing at it. But decent. Was always hesitant about oil. But after doing the free painting. (The tree) I found Micheal's ways of painting really good. So forked out for the year. Done 4 of his paintings so far.

His lessons literally walk you through each step and he describes how to use the brushes in a very clear and understandable manner. It’s amazing!
These lessons are really great and I’ve enjoyed it immensely. However, if you are just a beginner there’s not too many lessons for that level. I was hoping there would be a lot more of the lessons from the paintings you see on the YouTube channel but of course there’s a lot so maybe that’s why there’s not as many on this. Overall this super great! I’ve order his panels and brushes and they are also very good.Show lessTessie_lc

I’ve signed up for annual subscription few months back and have done 4 lessons since! Absolutely love the instructions they are so detailed and Michael shows how he mixes the colors and what brushes. I have improved my oil painting techniques tremendously . My only regret was not signing up earlier.Show lessEileenWC
