In the two weeks since the iOS update, my Max 360 will connect to the app, but I am unable to access most of the settings. And as usual, the detector will become disconnected from the app randomly while running in the background. such a terrible app and interface from such a once – great radar detector company.

M1 requires the M1 app. Please reach out to us at getapphelp@cedarelectronics.com with any questions you might have.When I bought this $700 radar detector, I was told I needed to go see a doctor because I’m crazy but after using it all the way from Connecticut to Florida I still thought I was crazy the reason I never hooked up to the smarter app that basically comes along with it, you can use cobra Dash cams, etc. anyhow, I just learned that you can actually use the app along with the radar detector which detects red light cameras, and things of that nature as a GPS as well so very cool stuff I’m extremely happy anyone out there that into gadgets, especially really into gadgets and for you spend the money and don’t be a,,

Thanks a lot for your amazing review and safe rides :)I haven’t used this app in while but 6 mos ago the app was great. I use Redline 360 with an M2 camera and the app was great. I could watch live video on the top and the map below. I could also adjust my camera view if needed. Now, live video is gone. With the current firmware, the app continuously says ‘unable to download gallery and to retry. So I have a 256 gig SIM card and when full, the gallery is more than likely unable to load the gallery, times out and says try again. Can you please just bring back the simple one touch live view button and capabilities you one had on the main screen???

Hi! To ensure the experience connecting to the camera's was better, we had to move the live-view functionality to the Gallery/Live view tab. Since all video related camera interactions were already done there, it made sense to move this functionality there. From a safe driving perspective, it also didn't make sense to have live view on the main screen.After some tech support the app is working great

I really can’t rate anything other than what I’m seeing because I don’t have my cameras yet they’re coming tomorrow but what I’m saying is definitely a five star system but I haven’t experienced it yet. If you need assistance, please contact us at https://drivesmarter.com/support/app-support/ You have to have the app open at all times to use any benefits, while using the app for maps and directions it overtakes your phone audio and car audio so you can’t listen to music while using the maps and if you close the app or your phone idles it disconnects from the radar detector. This app should be able to run in the background and stay connected to the radar even when your phone locks or using a different app.

Please send a note to https://drivesmarter.com/support/app-support/ so we can connect.It’s works well for getting the videos off my dashcam, although it’s kind of slow, but it says all this stuff that it can do with directions and how it can show it on the dash cam, but then it doesn’t even allow you to search directions, it says you can do it straight through the app, but the only search bar is when it redirects you to google maps, which doesn’t even convert the directions back to the app it just keeps it on google maps, this makes it where I can’t even use one of the main features the dash cam says it has, directions and alerts while driving, needs to be more user friendly and if there is a way to search directions it needs a tutorial when you download the app so you can understand how to do it, although I tried everything so I think it just doesn’t work

Navigation functions are available in the app by either tapping the Magnifying glass icon or by holding your finger on the Map and choosing "Get Directions". Escort Live is better than Drive Smarter. Four stars for Escort Live because the hot spot WiFi is not reliable on either app. Three stars for Drive Smarter because hot spot WiFi and Bluetooth are both not reliable plus Drive Smart map cannot be changed from North on top to direction the vehicle is driving, as seen on Escort Live, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze and every other app.

You'll find that in the bottom left corner of the screen and need only tap on it until the view in the app is oriented as desired. We bought this camera simply for the fact you can”watch” and play back videos on your phone or this app rather considering we don’t have a pc or laptop in the semi. It was suppose to be much more convenient.. however we have not seen a single video or footage due to the app literally freezing Every time I try to play anything… please fix this so our $200 dollar purchase isn’t a donation.. because as it stands right now it’s been worthless. An seems like the rest of these reviews confirms they all have the same issue.

No other option on screw icon visually tells you how to make it work
