Warm Floors

Worked well all year long. Can be set to not heat the floors when the outside temperature is over 80 degrees F. Seemed strange for a couple of weeks but that was because my internet router was crashing. New router and it’s all good again.

Can adjust it on the panel or over the internet. Makes it easy to set it when on a trip.

I put my internet (smart) appliances on my guest connection for additional safety and that seems to work well.

Not good

Not good sowtware

App always improving. Very professional Dev team

I have been using this app since the initial release and in a few years I’ve seen consistent improvement to the functionality and user experience. I am extremely impressed with whoever is leading this app development team because they are top notch.

Most recently the use of the Azure B2C login has been migrated to a custom domain which makes saved passwords easier and simpler as the password is associated with just watts.io and not the generic B2C domain which too many app developers use and hence you have dozens of saved creds pop up. Also the autofill for iOS is fantastic and down to a single click. These types of precision and attention to details indicate the dev team really knows what they are doing. You don’t see this often.

Top notch team. Top notch app.

Great work.

Thank you for your feedback. We will pass your feedback to the development team.

Fan

You can’t control the fan from this app. The most basic function is missing.

Poor layout & confusing as hell.

Very poorly laid out App. Very confusing.

Reliable

Very nice to be able to monitor home temperatures when you are away for extended periods.

Needs work

UI needs work. For example “Home Mode” is a slider switch for on/off. Why not have a Home/Away slider? Makes more sense. Also doesn’t work in landscape mode on iPad.

Thank you for your feedback. Your feedback has been shared with the App development team. If you select "New Schedule", it allows you to select each day separately for programming. You can also select different days and group them together. For example, when selecting "New Schedule", select Friday and Saturday. Once you select these days, you'll be able to program your scheduled times. If you still are uncertain on how to do this, please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-438-3903 for support!

Privacy concerns

I hate the thermostat my installer included with my heat pump. The thermostat itself is fine, but the app is hot garbage. Why not let people control their thermostat with other software. Why does Tekmar really need to know my address and my home heating habits? The privacy policy is garbage. Why I am dependent on their security for my home internet? Is tekmar selling my data?

Confusing Schedule Programming

There has to be a way to make the scheduling of this floor heater less confusing. There are places where I can start the schedule in the morning, but it doesn’t give me an end time which could be done on that same screen. When I thought that I had programmed this to be started on every day of the week, I noticed later that all of those days have been erased except for the current day.
An example of what would make this easier is look at the Lutron electrical timing program. It is far simpler than what this app is.
Bottom line is this is far more complicated than it needs to be. Frustrating

Link to Alexa broken

This app is supposed to seamlessly link my Sun Touch connect plus thermostat to Alexa. However, Alexa is unable to find the thermostat even though everything is on the same network. Customer support for this specific feature is terrible. I have left Watts, the supporting company an email message which they have not responded to. I have spoken with ST support which states that they do not support the app but Tekmar does. Tekmar customer support states that they do not support the app but Sun Touch/Watts does . Watts phone tree says am number one in Que but never picks up; says to leave a message and will call back but never does The app otherwise works just fine and seamlessly connects to the thermostat allowing for remote operation
