Cannot be used to purchase a TAP card
Completely useless.
Unusable
Can’t scan a card, can’t input a card (“server error”), so it’s an impediment, not a help.
Takes over 24 hours to load card
Takes sometimes MORE than 24 hours to load the card, and doesn’t indicate this—at least not in an obvious way. For that reason it’s not convenient and leads to awkward situations where the driver grudgingly let’s you on as though you’re pulling a fast one. Fix that and give the ability to order custom design tap cards in-app and Id give it 5/5.

What is the point?
I can’t even add my tapcard to my wallet app to use it… TAP-Los Angeles isn’t an option for transit cards.
Useless
The app is useless. Problems adding money and it doesn’t work half the time. Worst app.
From downtown to LAX
I'm sitting here in the airport after successfully navigating via the TAP app’s tripfinder all the way from the JW Marriott to LAX. The app worked perfectly, and I tapped to transfer 3 times using my iPhone. Soooo easy! It even told me where to stand and on what side of the street to wait (in the map). Anyone who comes to LA and doesn’t want to sit on the crowded freeways for hours should use it! #taptoGO

Terrible
I got stranded in Downtown Long Beach at 10pm after my job. Tap app showed I had a balance, but the driver refused to let me ride because my card was saying reload even tho the app said I had $10. I’ve had many hiccups with this app. But not functioning in this way is unacceptable. I cannot believe I had to ride a scooter 8miles home because of this.

Worse app ever
I was checking my tap cards and it forced me to log out and now I can’t log back in , loading screen takes too much time it won’t show the log in menu, I would not recommend this app if it still buggy and laggy, I don’t know why this app even exist
Of All The Features, Only One Really Works
The app is decent for adding a virtual tap card to tour wallet and paying fare through that. Aside from that, the search bar is unresponsive, it doesn’t usually load bus times for routes, and when you can get a list of stops for a route you have to figure out what “Inbound/Outbound” means otherwise you could end up referencing the time for the wrong direction. Frankly, just use google maps if you wanna plan a trip, since it also tracks the metro buses.

Took my 25
This app should let me pay for rides on my phone, but after giving it 25, it says my account is empty. Luckily the impatient bus drivers are nice enough to let me ride for free, but this shouldn’t have to be the case. It has potential and should work in theory, but obviously isn’t well-made. More evidence of LA’s tragic public transit.
