I love it!

I love brushing my teeth anyway, I think it feels great so I bought the HUM as an impulse figuring I’d just use the toothbrush but this app is great! It showed me I don’t tend to brush the flat part of my tooth very much because I mostly focus on the gum line, it also makes the time go fast to follow the app instead of just brushing for three minutes by yourself. I do with it had an option to include wisdom teeth. It actually tells me to check my zone while brushing my back molars when I try to brush my wisdom teeth well, which isn’t a big deal but it us frustrating to not get 100% for that and I think a missed opportunity to help people brush their most neglected teeth better. Other than that I love it and it’s become part of my night routine when I brush.

Best toothbrush EVER!!!

This brush was given to my son as a gift and he did not want it (because he does not like vibrating/electric toothbrushes) so I thought I would try it. Well let’s just say I will be getting the rest of my family each one of these!! Even my son (the one who didn’t want this one) I absolutely love the way it shows you exactly where you are brushing and what needs improvement on! Not to mention, that you can adjust everything on it. The app encourages good brushing habits and provides wonderful feedback. I’m curious to see what the kids hum brush is like for my son whom I struggle to get to brush his teeth. I’ve seen reviews that say it has exercises that are similar to games which I’m hoping will encourage him to brush without fighting me on it. I will update my rating response once he has gotten and used his own hum toothbrush.

Mostly awesome, but with a bug

I love the concept of points, but the app sometimes doesn’t give you your points after question of the day, or a brushing session. As for me, I just finished a survey on how to improve the app (upon completion, I was supposed to get 50 points), and I got none of them. Additionally, I basically never get Perfect Angle, and the suggestion for it (“Turn your brush at a 45 degree angle”, or something) is kind of confusing to me. Maybe I’m just clueless, lol. I used to be so lazy at brushing but now I brush for way longer and my teeth are way cleaner too! I recommend this app if you want to improve your brushing habits and want to be more mindful of your teeth. Update: My app won’t open anymore. It keeps crashing or going black. I recently went on a trip and must have done one too many offline brush sessions, but the problem will only get worse if it’s not fixed soon.

The bugs stole the show

This app has a lot of potential but so many bugs. The app crashes regularly and doesn’t save my sessions. For the last few days the app wouldn’t even open so I’ll have to delete, reinstall and hope my progress will be saved, which I doubt. It’s just a regular toothbrush without the app and with the app constantly crashing or deleting sessions, it’s just a regular tooth brush. There needs to be more attention paid to the development and functionality of the app. The only way the data from the app is useful is if the app is accessible. Also I think you should get double points based on your surface coverage versus the current model that rewards you for doing a brushing program. Especially since the apps crash soo frequently, you can’t always use the brushing programs. Most of these issues can be resolved by addressing the overwhelming bugs and issues with iOS.

Good, but there are some bugs

The app overall has been great. I’ve managed to better my brushing habits and keep myself accountable for flossing and whatnot, however I initially didn’t like that they wanted you to brush in a specific pattern. If you want full coverage that is. I like how there are many options to choose from, such as guided, test, or offline, however I don’t like that offline gets less points and glitches out. There were times that I’ve “missed” a few days of brushing because I used offline. Sometimes the brush turns off and I needed to push the button to get it started again while using the offline brushing. I don’t always have my phone on me. Aside from that, it’s good. I’d like to see more brush head options in the future, preferably soft. That’ll be cool to have.

I LOVE THIS APP!

I love this app because it connects to your toothbrush and let you know what you’re doing wrong and how to fix it. When brushing they first test to see how you brush and you have the option to do a guided brushing. I like to do the guided brushing because it shows me which parts I need to work on and it guides you on which part to brush at and how to do it. It’ll let you know if you’re brushing in the wrong area and how to tell your brush. If you get tasks done and brush it you will receive smile points. With the smile points, once you get to a certain amount, you are able to get a product for free. It also journals when you are brushing and at what time. You can also set goals for yourself to try to try to brush more often. They also ask you a daily question that you can also receive points on for answering. There many different ways that you can receive points. I’m getting points roughy now for just writing this review. You can also connect the app with your Apple Watch. They have different tasks that you can complete to earn points. You can also share your progress with your friends. They will let you know how you’re doing on angling your toothbrush and your progress and spots that you’ve made. I think that it is a really great app that helps you track your brushing and making sure that you are doing it the right way. They can also notify you whenever you want them to to remind you to brush. Overall I think it’s an amazing app.

Wow! We are so hum-bled by your amazing feedback. We really appreciate you giving hum a try and are so glad you are loving it 🙌😃

Was NOT prepared to live this app and toothbrush this much!

My mama and aunt worked in a dental office while I was growing up and while I was a young adult - I thought that I had dental care down pat! I figured I had nothing else to learn! I decided to try this because it’s an electric toothbrush that packs easily and has good reviews, which is an unusual combination!
It’s been about 2 weeks, and I’ve had people notice that my smile is brighter and prettier - and my teeth were pretty white before I switched to Humm!
I did have to make one change, and I am glad I was able to do so. The settings automatically shut off brushing at 2 minutes, unless you change it. I’m accustomed to 4 minutes of brushing, and was very pleased to be able to add that time.

Get this toothbrush and app! Your smile will thank you!

Pretty cool

I enjoy all the challenges. Kinda makes things fun I guess. What I really think is cool is how it detects and corrects the way you angle the toothbrush so you brush properly. I find myself zoning out most times while brushing and I always have to go back and rebrush certain areas cause of not totally paying attention. This app has changed that for me. It may seem silly that a grown adult needs a visual to brush their teeth, but when you have a insanely busy life like mine, it’s those little things that you learn to appreciate. It shows you an image of a mouth and it guides you in brushing so you don’t forget any areas…like the insides or whatever. But what’s cool is that even though it has its regular routine to teach you, it will change and follow where YOU move the toothbrush. Literally will show you on the screen with different colors and shading, where EXACTLY you are in your mouth. You can also input a bunch of info and they’ll work out a brushing program for you. You can put reminders in for dental appointments and also put in daily alerts for brushing reminders. You have to actually see to understand. All in all, I really like it and I’m actually getting the brushes for my older three kids. My youngest already has the kids hum with AR…which is really cool too. I would def recommend this to everyone.

hum is about giving you that personalized brushing experience while also being fun! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback. We are thrilled to have your family in our hum family. ❤

First interactive teeth brushing app that I ENJOY!

So first when I thought this product I had my doubts, because I actually use sonic hair diamond plus, but I wanted to give this more of a shot because it’s more affordable it seems intelligent, and it just seems you need to try so I was like why not?

Boy was I surprised when I tried this out and not only did I see how I was brushing, I noticed that there is definitely a unique way and that we all should be brushing in a proper manner. It makes you feel confident about your brushing after you finish and you know you’ve cleaned every part of your mouth and it also rewards you with points that you can use towards replacement brush heads or even toothbrushes or many more things!

For the price of this item and the free downloadable app I think this is a knock out of the park! Especially for kids as well because I know how stubborn kids can be with brushing teeth! They have a games that kids can play while they brush their teeth and it makes it much more interesting and more of a fun habit instead of a annoying boring habit! Get this! You won’t regret it!

Very incentivizing

I am very bad at remembering to brush. This app give just a a little incentive every time you brush by rewarding you with points. Each point is about 1 cent but if you brush regularly you can save up to buy refills or even a new hum tooth brush. You are able to use the guided brushing to see spots you have missed. You can get reminders or shut them off if you don’t need them. They even added a game that you can play that goes with how you brush, I haven’t tried it yet but could be a good way to get the kids interested in it. I have found my self brushing more often and it even corrects the way you brush. It will tell you if your speed is good and if the angle you hold your brush against your teeth is the right angle.
