Flaky, pushed there from Airbnb listing, listing could have put the info in Airbnb
The Airbnb listing required me to load the app for gate passwords, things I’ve seen listed in Airbnb directly.
The DACK listing didn’t have most features and it seemed like the Wifi password wasn’t available but really there were multiple listings. Worse, the Airbnb wifi password was not maintained.
Just before my work meeting I logged on to grab the wifi password and DACK would only give an error.porcoesphino

We apologize you experienced an issue connecting to the WiFi. Our hosts can enter the WiFi passwords for their listing, and it sounds like that may not have happened on your unit. Please make sure you have the latest version of DACK downloaded (1.21.1). Hosts have complete control over what features they offer their guest. We encourage you to reach out to our support team (support@dackinc.zendesk.com) to help debug the specific WiFi issue you experienced. I like the concept - using an app to get into my VRBO, paying for late checkout etc. But oh man, this is a horrible blatant attempt to get all your personal data. And, there’s no way I can access my ‘contactless’ VRBO without it. I deeply resent that I have no choice but to use it. It clearly appears their business model is to get you to give all sorts of personal data which they will then sell onwards.
A couple of examples:
1) when you first install, you have to not only create a login (normal) but then you are required to create a profile. No opt out or skip this step. I don’t know why a glorified key app needs to know my music preference or if my preferred holiday is a party or family time. Fine, ask it if you want, but let me skip it too.
2) I’m trying to add a friend (also on the reservation) to the app so he can use the key function. DACK insists (multiple times!) that it *must* have access to all my contacts. Nope, not going to happen. I’ll just have to unlock for everyone staying at the house.
3) Trying to request a late check out and the only way to do that is to save a credit card in the app (before the request is even sent to the property manager!). What the actual what? No I’m not allowing you to save my CC. No option for it not to be saved. No way to request an extension without CC.
This appears to be a data vacuum poorly disguised as a helpful app. I hate it and resent the property management company forcing me to use it.Deckwalker

I don’t think I’ll ever stay at another Airbnb that doesn’t offer dack. This was hands down the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Swipe to unlock the door, temperature controls, property guides, local guides. We were even able to book a personal chef to come to the property and cook a big dinner for us one night 🤤🤤 this is the future of traveling. I just wish more places used it!!!BachelorBillGates
