  • Best app on my phone

I have been practising Yin yoga for the last 6 years or so and I find that this application is just perfect for complementing my practice. I’m so busy with work, so having Bend, I can practice at home and i’m saving money and feeling great. It has just been a game changer for my body and I couldn’t be happier. It’s super simple to use and you can cater to your own needs. Thanks so much🙏🏾☮️🧘🏽‍♂️

  • Some potential

So there’s lots of potential but I think could be better. There’s no vocal instructions during the exercises, if you select the ! Then it gives you more info but then it stops the flow I think. Because of lack of instructions some poses felt quite unsafe to me. I see the Q & A section said this is because users wanted it simple but really don’t think audio assistance would complicate that much more. In some apps it would say ‘do this instead if you can’t do this or give you pointers in holding the pose properly. I also did poses whilst playing music from music app otherwise can be a bit boring.

I paid for the annual membership because it seemed better value but probably wouldn’t buy again to be honest.

  • BEST $30 YOU WILL SPEND IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE

I have been suffering with chronic lower back pain for years. After trying just about everything ( massages, chiropractors, stretching on my own, this that and the other) I had come to just accept my pain. I happened across this app, and within one week of using it daily, have experienced an almost immeasurable amount of relief. It will get you to loosen up muscles you didn’t know you had! I’m walking straighter, sleeping better and getting more out of my day. Thank you bend!

  • Bend App Review

Best App I’ve purchased! It’s my time out at the end of the day. Timer and pictures make it so easy. Handy you can pause if phone goes or kids need you. Highly recommended ❣️
  • Really 1 ⭐️Not up front about Cost

When I selected to load the app , as always, I searched the app description for cost - there was no mention of it or trial period or options. Upon loading and initiating the app, suddenly I am requested to pay.

I deleted the app because I find that cause for caution. If you are requiring a subscription, why not be honest up front in the app description? If you cannot be up front about one thing, there more than likely are other things you are being deceptive about. Hackers love to use that technique. No mention of securely maintaining your data. I have been subject to that before by this same technique.
I am sure remarks will come, but go ahead. One day you too will learn to recognize certain signs.

  • Not quite a home run, more like a triple ⚾️

All in all a pretty decent app but I have a few suggestions. I like the assortment of stretches to choose from and explanations on how to perform each but the timer in my opinion could use a little work. High priority for me would be adding a small chime or something at the beginning of each exercise. There are 3 beeps at the end of an exercise but there’s no beep letting you know when to start the next exercise, after your ‘delay’. I hate having to continually watch the screen to know when the next exercise begins. Maybe an option to turn off the vibrations feature would be nice too.

Next maybe add some color to the sweeping bar timer, like green for when you’re doing an exercise and yellow for the delay timer phase. When my phone’s a few feet away, it’s hard to see the grey sweeping bar timer. Jazz it up a little with some color LOL.

Also maybe a different delay timer would be nice. Like the ability to set 15 sec between exercises and 30 sec to transition to the next group of exercises.

Lastly, I wish there was a specific ‘category’ or ‘type’ for ‘BALANCE’ exercises, in the create your own routine area. Some of us older population could use some help in fine tuning our balance. Well worth the subscription I think. Thanks and keep up the good work!

  • Wasn’t able to try all areas

So this app offered the 7 day trial and I have to say I did enjoy the morning stretch. However, I’m not able to say I liked any of the other stretches as the trial wouldn’t let me access them. In order to try the full body or sleep, which I truly was interested in, I would have to buy full access. So if I buy the full access and then don’t like the other stretches, it’s a waste of money. When offering a trial of a product, offer access to all the areas so your customers can make an educated decision on their purchase. Very disappointing!

  • Bend yoga

Great start to the morning. You are directed on how long to hold a pose. It only takes 5 minutes, but makes you so much more flexible.
  • Add intermediate poses please or a button to take pictures and add custom poses

Would give 5 stars if you add at least 100 yoga poses. There’s some poses I would like to add to my routine but can’t which makes it difficult for me to do yoga at home by myself because of my ADHD. I have to remember what pose to do after a certain pose which makes it a bit of a challenge for me to complete my routine. I do love how easy it is to navigate the app. Please add more poses. Or at least add a button where I can take pictures and name and add my own custom poses please. That would help so many people who has to modify their poses to use like yoga blocks , straps and blosters due to like a injury or age.

  • Great but not without issues

This app is perfect for getting into stretching and taking it more seriously. I don’t have an issue with the content in the app, but rather the app itself.

    1. When using the Apple Watch app, it often records the workout twice within the health app. One being the full workout, the other being just a few seconds long.

    2. When I start the workout, I expect the app on my Apple Watch to open itself and start recording. I shouldn’t have to open up the app myself.

    3. If Siri is called when a stretch workout is in progress, it pauses it. Quite frustrating when telling my HomePod to do something and Siri appearing on my phone for a split second causes it to pause.

    4. If I click on the instruction icon to read about the current exercise, it pauses the workout. I can read and do the exercise at the same time.

    5. No dark mode, my eyes burn at night.

    6. No audio prompts regarding the next exercise.

Things I’d also like to see:

    1. A standalone Apple Watch app that lets me start workouts without my phone in range

    2. More hamstring stretches

    3. Family sharing (so I can let people in my household use this app that I paid for).

Even with these problems listed above, I still think this app is great and is well worth the £25 per year.
