  • I watch version is terrible

For a paid app I was expecting more. My watch is my fitness coach, but in order to use this app you have to lug your phone around. The app can't or doean’t sync well with the countdown clock between the watch and phone. Nice interface but the app needs to fix the bugs.
  • Landscape mode

Can’t turn your app in landscape mode. Why?
  • Almost a perfect app

The price point is amazing for the amount of effort put into the app, the only wish I have would be a place to add stretches that may not be on the app so that you can remind yourself to do them even if they aren’t added on the app outside of that maybe just add more stretches
  • Simple, just how it should be.

So I’ve just bought the year membership for this app. Firstly, the price, it’s good. On 50% sale £26 for the whole year? I looked at other stretching apps, trying to find one with a good UI and customisability, they are all significantly more expensive (talking some £160 a year…) Bend is simple, stretching is simple, you don’t have to get a posture completely perfect, don’t sweat it. It should be uncomfortable at most, that shows it’s working.

If I had to give some constructive criticism it would be maybe you could make more pre-packaged stretching programs, focused on certain sports? And also more dynamic stretches as these are very limited…

I come from a climbing background and wanted something that would improve climbing specific flexibility (hips are very important, ankle, hamstring, and wrist flexibility). Granted you can make these yourself but the full list can seem overwhelming!

  • Requires subscription

It looks like it might be an ok app but since you need to purchase a subscription to access anything more than the initial “5 min wake up” stretches I can’t really tell.
  • Used everyday since I got it

I’ve wanted to get into stretching since being diagnosed with a muscle disorder. I spend a lot of time at a desk so find this really useful for getting me moving in the daytime. In the morning I do the posture reset at my desk, then after lunch I do tech neck to loosen off and not get seized up. In the evenings I tend to chose shoulders or hamstrings or whatever takes my fancy and I find it is really helping. It’s really simple and I like that no videos to watch just get on with the stretching, and if I’m not sure I’ll just pause it and read the instructions before moving on. You can even adjust the rest time between each move if you don’t feel like you’ve got enough time between each position.
Overall really good for me, and cheaper than the price of a coffee a month.

  • Glitchy?

This looks great I have checked out the trial - but - I’m trying to set up the monthly membership to try for a month, and no matter what even if I click on monthly it prompts an annual subscription. What can I do?
  • Beware when trial ends.

I downloaded this app and didn’t have time to try it right away. When I downloaded, I checked it out and there seemed to be a lot of areas that were accessible without a monthly fee. Some areas were locked and I expected that. I thought there were enough areas open to give the app a try before deciding on committing to the monthly payment. The second time I used it, every area was locked except one. Although I thought my first stretch routine was ok, I was eager to try another but not for the price. I deleted the app.

  • Simple and streamlined.

It shows you the stretch. You can click the description for detailed info on alternative positions and things to watch out for. It bundles them nicely. It lets you tweak the times and make your own routines. There’s not a lot of clutter. Easy purchase for the year long.
  • Good for Paying Customers

If you are willing to pay around $38 yearly or $6.49/month for an effective and sustainable stretching regimen, then this app is for you. Otherwise, scroll along.

The quality of the stretches and the layout of the platform is actually really high quality.
However, with regards to access for non-paying users, you don’t get to use any stretches other than the 5-minute “Wake Up” Stretch. Sadly, even that is limited to the length of a 7-day free trial. After that point, either you pay or you might as well delete the app, because without access to any stretches, it virtually useless.
