  • Literally passed my stop multiple times

So I’ve used this a number of times

    Pros

The convenience and price has been great, especially when trying to get from Altadena to a metro rail connection.
The dollar it takes makes it something I seriously consider when planning my journey
Drivers have always been polite and professional

    Cons
Often the pick up or drop off, most notoriously the arroyo parkway Del Mar station stop, hasn’t been updated to show that it isn’t a bus stop anymore, or it’ll drop off multiple blocks from a destination. Like I get dropping off at a bus stop but sometimes there are bus stops in front of the destination and it’ll still drop you off blocks away

Many times it’s actually faster to take multiple buses. I’ve literally seen a two bus connection that takes 20 minutes be 40+ on micro

My biggest pet peeve though is the multiple times the system will be on the way to drop someone else off but we pass my stop on multiple occasions. I’ve had trips where it literally passed my stop 3 times when heading to drop or pick up people. I feel like it would make the system much more usable if the system saw the route being taken to someone else would require no detour at all to let someone off.

  • Best service from Metro yet!!!

This is without a doubt one of the most brilliant ideas for LA public transportation. It is clean, safe and incredibly efficient. I would love for this service to continue, along with its flexibility and affordability. I would love if the team that came up and designed this have a recommendation. The maintenance crew is impeccable and attentive, I love their updates! And the drivers are the best!!!! Attentive, careful and observant. I have slept through from the comfort. Please give everyone a raise, drivers, crew, team. This is a wonderful system, and I hope it can continue along. I use it daily. Thank you!!!

  • Needs more versatility

Pros- The service is a very good service for what you pay. The drivers are always very friendly and safe. Often times in my zone I am able to get to my destination quickly.

Cons- The system tracks your less than 4 hour cancellations and missed rides. If you have over a certain percentage in a period of time, you get punished. There is no way around it despite whatever reasons you offer them. The systems lack of logistic structure for the transportation which forces individuals to schedule many rides in advance only having to cancel. Often times I am personally unable to find a ride within my zone. This makes planning very difficult. I waited almost 60 minutes for my ride because I was not able to ride on one of the three vehicle's that stopped in front of my during my wait.

Potential improvement-Design into the system a way that you can modify a trip versus canceling. That would help immensely when having to work with very unpredictable work schedules.

  • Today was probably my last ride

As much as I love the micro bus there are days I absolutely hate it. I am a handicapped person that will use the accessible bus. I have had days where I’ve been left at the bus stop because the ride was canceled and I was informed 30 min after my ride was supposed to show up. Today the driver was really rude, mostly because I asked to be picked up on other side of the street. She kept telling me I had to cross the street to be picked up and I told her I couldn’t. She did not care. She told me I should be taking access. I said this is a handicapped van what’s the problem? She did not care. She later tried to fit 3 people in the van which is not allowed and she was very rude to an elderly passenger. I am sure today was an ADA violation. It’s sad this program has degraded, I will find a ride elsewhere, I don’t need disrespect from a driver with no empathy. Fix this problem…

  • Get what you pay for

I use metro micro to get around places almost daily. Often times I experience the same issues over and over. Sometimes I would order a metro micro in advance and 9 times out of 10, it would come late. Or if you’re really lucky, it would make you wait a long period of time just for it to get cancelled or it can’t find a driver. Lately, it’s been also taking way longer to get to my destination once I’m actually in the micro. Yesterday, I got into my micro and checked how long it would take to get there on the app. To my surprise, it said 43 minutes. It had to make 8 stops until I reached my destination. And it took around 50 minutes to get there. I was 10 minutes away from my location. Or sometimes it would drop/pickup other people before you even though your destination in the closest. Also, it’s rare to book a ride at the time you want. Often times, it would say “this area is in high demand” so it can’t locate a ride. Or other times you would have to get a ride that’s an hour later than when you actually want to get picked up. They need to get more drivers and expand their service zones. But at the end of the day, it only costs $1 to ride.

  • Courteous, Professional, Economical

I am so grateful to the people who thought of this service and who made it a reality. Thank you! I’ve been using it for a while now and it has helped me get to interviews, doctor appointments, and as a connection to the train station for longer commutes. Drivers are always professional and courteous, the cars are well taken care of, and I love that I can see it approaching the pick-up spot. Only note I would give back is that I think we need more vans. Sometimes the app seems to have no available rides even in areas where it is in zone which makes me think the demand is very high.

  • Greatest means of transportation in LA area via MM

We all know catching a public transportation/bus is almost useless here in LA because the bus stops and route are just not very rider friendly nor the frequency of buses that come are acceptable. This cute little means of transportation is best idea ever for angelenos. I’ve been riding it since fall 2022 and loving it! Yes you have to sometimes wait a little more than requested time but given its pricing and availability, people should be glad to do that or people better not complain! They can pay Uber or Lyft $20 to travel within the neighborhood. Even those rides here services sometimes don’t arrive on time or even cancel on you. Plus this is more reliable and trustworthy sponsored vehicle. I want this program to expand and stay for many years to come! But I’m sure when it becomes official program within Metro, each ride won’t be $1. I think $2 would be an appropriate price in my opinion but I’m sure it will be more like $3? 😞 Nonetheless, just glad to see some sort of “working” public transportation service in/around LA!! Go MetroMicro! 👍🏻👏🏻👊🏻

  • Metro Micro is a Blessing.

i’m a first timer using this Micro and I love the service and the driver was kind and helpful. I use Mta buses but my bus ride was cancelled twice and i just wanted to go around burbank. So i have seen this Micros but I thought that was only for disable people. Till one lady told me that it wasn’t. So i decided to use it, download the app and everything was easy after that. Thank God for this blessing, I got to my meeting right on time. I totally recommended!. 💯%

  • App routing has some issues

I LOVE this service. I use it almost every day. However recently theres been a significant uptick in my ride being rerouted wayyy out of the way without warning or logic. Theres also been this bizarre issue occurring in which i have a micro on the way, and suddenly there is no longer a micro on its way to me and i have to wait for a new ride to be assigned. The wait to be reassigned a ride that will actually show up and wont reassign me has gotten up to an hour at some point, if the ride doesn’t eventually cancel. This happens whether i schedule the ride just before i want to leave or hours/a day in advance. I assume the two issues are intertwined and it makes it very difficult to catch a micro any time after 1pm

  • Over a year in, still unreliable

This service would be wonderful, if it actually functioned. Rides get dropped well after pickup time. Routes are poorly mapped and often take you well out of your way. Rides are unavailable even if you book a week ahead. It’s nice if you aren’t trying to get anywhere by a specific time. If you are, make sure you have a backup mode of transportation. Otherwise you may find yourself stranded. Hoping they hire more and work out the kinks, but as of right now, mostly a waste of time.
