Life changing

This is a great app and programme, and unique as far as I can tell. It is helping me get to grips with some of the most frustrating and paralysing aspects of ADHD in a way that I have not been able to do with other resources. It’s divided into small sections which I find perfect for my attention span - on most days I simply can’t take in more, and I find I can apply the tips and suggestions given quite easily and effectively. Sometimes I forget all about the app but then after a few days I return and pick up where I left off - there’s no pressure. Finally the app is also special because it is interactive, not just a bit of inanimate software. The developers are clearly engaged and present, including through live Q&As with the experts. Many thanks to the creators of this app.

Some useful tools

Unless you are new to your diagnosis, this app will likely not have many tips, tools, or facts you don’t already know. However, I was asked to be included in the study right when I was in the middle of a really rough time (my routines & habits were all out of whack and I needed to rebuild them, I wasn’t getting anything done) and it really helped me get back on track. It’s a good reminder of the strategies available to you, and very good at being a gentle partner in developing habits — prods you just enough, and paces you, showing you that a little bit of work every day can make a difference. It stops the frustration of trying to fix everything in one day (which doesn’t work). I don’t think it can replace therapy, but if you can’t access therapy, this app could be a good more affordable alternative to getting the very basic info and strategies that any therapist will tell you about adhd. It seems like they are working on expanding content and community features, and I think that’s great — it seems to be done very thoughtfully. I’m not sure it’s something I would benefit from using constantly after the initial several weeks & getting on track, but I’d benefit from revisiting it when I’m off-track. PS: I have to say it— the app name, plus a pink icon that looks vaguely like a menstrual cup makes me think about periods every time.

Thanks for this feedback! Like you said, we continue to expand the content and community features, including our advanced modules which aim to dive deeper than our introductory modules so that there’s something for everyone. :)

Highly effective and BRIEF CBT lessons proven to work

I’ve had ADHD long enough to understand most of the common struggles others like myself share. I am also all to familiar with the fact that the attributes are usually misunderstood by those with normal brains, often times causing us to have very low self esteem. (It’s all my fault, I’m forgetful and easily confused simply because I’m a jerk and not very smart). This app is a great reminder that you can forgive yourself for these issues. They are not things we have as a result of any character flaws. Our brains are documented physiologically different. CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) is one of the most overlooked but effective tools in dealing with mind management. This app emphasizes these therapies and prescribes very simple exercises that do help over time. But again, most importantly, forgive yourself. You are different and you are most certainly not alone. This app brings us together so we can learn from one another.

Wow, this review means so much to our team, thank you! You absolutely aren’t alone and we believe self-compassion is a core piece of the puzzle for those of us living with ADHD. We’re so glad that you’re having a positive experience and feeling more connected to your community. We’re all rooting for you!

Glad my friend warned me!

I’ve been searching for a good ADHD app for a while now and recently downloaded a few to feel them out. Luckily enough My friend who has some experiences with the apps let me know of her very....different experience with the co founder of this app. She was charged 95$ for a yearly subscription. The options are either 95$ for a year or 30$ for a month. Not sure how that math makes sense? The co founder then proceeded to email her not once, but twice to get her to take down her review. Also, attaching screenshots basically calling her a liar about when she received the email about the charge and when she opened it. As a co founder, customer service should be one of the most important things you should have. Very disappointed that a mental health app would go out of their way to talk rudely to someone for expressing their own feelings.

Amazing work in progress

I absolutely love this app. My wife has been telling me, who’s been diagnosed a few times with ADHD in her life, that I should get tested because she is so sure I have it. She informed me signs in women are much different than in men. Since then I’ve found inflow and every time I exit the app, I’ve learned so much and so much of what is a problem with me, I know it’s common in a lot of people!
Inflow has taught me ways to cope, ways to calm down learn some more about RSD. It’s a work in progress, a rollercoaster
But the tools are so useful.
It’s hard for me to concentrate when, and inflow gives me the option to read AND listen, at the same time.
The scripts aren’t always verbatim, but not much off so it’s not hard to follow along at all.

I definitely recommend! I can’t wait for the progress and see just how far both the app and I have come.

From discouraged to hopeful

When I first started using the inflow app I had just been diagnosed with ADHD as a 32 yr old woman. Using inflow has helped me create new patterns and habits in my life that I didn’t feel were possible before. I am learning how to become more organized and reliable, not only to others but to myself as well. I actually feel hopeful about functioning at a level I didn’t think was possible before. The daily prompts are clear, super short, and offer actionable steps to apply what you learn. I feel freedom to go at my own pace & actually WANT to keep going. Even if I go a week or two without using the app I feel like I can jump right back to where I left off in the program, continuing to learn and grow. I’m really grateful for this resource in managing my inattentive ADHD symptoms.

Wow, this is an amazing review and we’re so glad that you shared this. Many of us have ADHD ourselves, and are all too familiar with the hopelessness that can come with a diagnosis. We’re excited to see how Inflow is making a difference for you! If you have any other feedback, please feel free to get in touch: hello@getinflow.io

Quick and effective way to improve your focus and happiness

As a psychologist, and human who has feelings, I love this app. In less than 5 minutes per day, In Flow helps bring awareness to areas in your life you want to improve and behaviors you want to change. I love that it starts with simple education and builds to add skills for different areas. These areas are customizable to those you feel specifically benefit you. There’s also a community, where you can connect to others who can understand your life experience. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Misleading.

At first glance this app looks great. A free app with great reviews, for people with ADHD that are trying to get their lives in order.

During onboarding I get to tell you about myself and choose how I’d like to be supported. After setting up an account I’m presented with a screen telling me that nothing is free. Nothing can be tried and no help is available –unless I agree to spend as much as £25. Every month!

It can’t be dismissed and I have no way of removing my account. This is the most misleading and underhand of approaches. After such high hopes it seems only those that have plenty of disposable income get help.

Find out how much people can really afford to pay. A private diagnosis and titration (given overstretched and under commissioned NHS services) costs around £1000. An extra £300/year for this app (on top of prescription costs) is exclusive, discriminatory and desperately unfortunate.

I’d like to remove my account, and all the answers I provided, from your systems.

Firstly, a massive thank you for taking the time to give feedback and try the app. Feedback such as yours, even if painful for us to hear, helps us improve and ensures Inflow can become the best it can possibly be. Given your feedback, we have now included a pop-up, before creating an account, to let people know that the program is a paid program. When signing up for a subscription you automatically receive a one-week free trial. We have worked very hard to make our program as cost effective as possible and members can sign up for £85.99/year (£7.17/month). Compared to in-person therapy we're proud to be over 100x cheaper. We also have significant costs that need to be paid to keep the app going otherwise something like this won't be available at all. If you would like us to remove any data from our systems then please email us at hello@getinflow.io. Thanks again for your feedback
