  • Really grateful—from the USA

What a treat, a privilege, to have this service. Fabulous sets, terrific acting, and a wonderful mix of classic and new plays.
    Thank you thank you!!
  • Just Amazing! Just perfect! Just Brilliant!

I have loved theatre since I have ever known and previously during lockdown boredom was beyond and when me and my family became theatre pro, well. This is the best app personally ever created. Literally just from our living room we can watch whatever we like whenever we like. The best plays, great acting, no bugs whatsoever, this app is totally 100% worth it. And I am not joking, this app has put so much joy to my family and myself through the really hard time in pandemic. And we still watch the breathtaking, beautifully designed, amazing plays. I cannot thank the creators as much as I should. The best app ever created!

  • Love this app

Only wish the library had more titles, that aside getting to see this in at home is great
  • Excellent APP

I am so glad that my sister got me something that I’ve always loved for years! I remember the first time going to the IFC Center in New York City to see Coriolanus and then King Lear many years later. When my sister got me a 6 month subscription, I almost fell to the floor.I got a chance to see War Horse and No Man’s Land, two shows I’ve always wanted to see.I would suggest for anyone to give a gift of theater from National Theatre on the app to their love ones.

  • Never Fails Me

The Royal National Theatre online fills my cup, is my home away from home and inspires me to think. Unmistakable excellence, unmissable performances. The best of British Theatre in my hand. Can’t get enough.
  • Loving watching good theatre at home!

I don’t live in an area with much access to live theatre - this is the next best thing. I’ve enjoyed so many wonderful productions.
  • See the state of theatre art!!!

No streaming service is a better buy than the National Theatre. From the fantastic productions to the illuminating features, every minute watching brings delight!
  • A Life Saver

I am a theatre pro’ now living with Progressive MS in a care home. This gives me a reason to feel motivated as I try writing and living the world I’m passionate about. “No Man’s Land” left me speechless as a story so well told. I was there. They didn’t need me, but I was captivated and entwined in their world.

“Consent” was an excruciatingly difficult play to watch in some ways, combined with a mindless, non-reflective life style, it was astonishing. Perfectly cast and paced.

I’ve just watched what I think was called “England is Dead”. Breath-taking. An astonishing piece of theatre. I’ve never seen the likes. The circle of protection around the family so they can get on but he is protected from them had me in tears. He’d begun to make the disparate pieces fit Together. Plenty of space still but the rigidity is broken. I felt bereft when the character left the stage. I wanted to know what happened next. Stratospheric acting.

  • Enjoying stage productions from across the pond….

I found National Theatre at Home during lockdown and binged as much as I could….. and I cannot let it go. New content is always entertaining and I love to rewatch my favorites. I would love for it to be available to watch on my tablet but that is the only drawback at all that I have found.
  • This app makes me feel smarter and stronger.

Getting a dose of complicated, beautiful theatre is essential for one’s mental health and spirit. Unfortunately I can’t do it in person. This app shows a play as clearly as possible, often with additional features that enhance understanding. It’s good medicine.
