  • Using App and from website

    I am loving purchases and products. But, my last purchase, a dress, I ordered according to size guide…not even close in bust measurements. Not even sure if next size up will fit in bust, it was that tight. Bottom of dress in next size up may be too big. Also, I have commented before, both the website and app continue to be extremely frustrating. I am confident it isn’t user error and have seen other comments on it as well. I hope it is being addressed, taking way too long to order. I will say, when I have called and contacted them, not getting an inseam measurement, waiting on hold again for “support” team, and no answers for that measurement in a pair of women’s pants. However, the customer service persons have been very courteous reading their script. Thank you for listening.

  • Love Madewell Clothes… not so much the app

    I love Madewell clothes but the app is so glitchy it’s almost unusable. It took me almost an hour to place an order as there are so many bugs. Also, you can only have 12 items saved for later which is odd. Another big issue is when you remove items from your favorites it scrolls back up to the top, so you’ll have to scroll down every single time you want to view or remove favorited items. I cleaned up my favorites after my most recent order and it took ten minutes just to unfavorite a few due to non responsiveness, loading taking forever (I had no internet issues, it was just the app), and having to scroll down from the top each time. I hope that the developers read these and are able to make some enhancements.

  • Placing orders through app NEVER works

    In the couple years that I have had the Madewell app, I don’t think I have ever been successful placing an order through it. The last few times I have tried to order something, I will get all the way through my cart, put my payment and shipping info, and even get a confirmation at the end saying my order was placed. But then a few days later when I go back to check on my order it has completely disappeared and I always realize I never got an actual confirmation email. No record that I placed and order at all (but the rewards I used are always conveniently gone). Their website is always awful too. Basically you need to shop in store or not at all.

  • Amazing brand horrible app

    I looooove Madewell and their clothes but this app is actually inoperable. It never remembers my shopping preference so I always have to deselect women’s and switch it to men’s, which is the least of its issues. Anytime I switch a filter category or switch it from women’s to men there Is a lengthly but reasonable loading time. But the worst thing is when I select a product I am met with a loading screen that simply never loads. I can’t add the item to my cart see details check sizes or even see multiple picture unless it is in the small preview window. This has led to me never using the app until I forget about this issue. I constantly check for updates but even when they come these issues persist. I am honestly shocked this app has such a high rating.

  • Slowest app ever

    I love Madewell and the app won’t stop me from buying from them thankfully, but this is the absolute slowest app I’ve ever used (even counting when I used an iPod touch..) it doesn’t load. If you click on an item and want to go back, you might as well just put the phone down and make a cup of coffee before coming back. If you want to see anything important to your account, it’ll just make you go online to their website, which is honestly just as slow. Not sure if they’re trying to save money or what, but it’s ridiculous. Especially when their jeans are $130 a pop and a shirt will run you around of $80. Let’s get it together.

    Just to clarify, the app itself isn’t horribly set up. Other than not being able to actually see your orders and being rerouted to their website, in general, it’s a solid design but just extremely slow.

  • Great app… but needs Facebook login

    The user experience of the Madewell app is by far so much better than the mobile website. However, I can’t log into my account because long ago, I made my account through Facebook log in. I cannot use the Facebook login option on the app, so I can’t use my account on the app. I can’t forfeit all my earnings (which has happened and nothing can be done about it :/ ) by purchasing on the app. I need Facebook login. For now, I shop via the app, decide what I want, and then I purchase on safari or on my laptop.
    I know this is dramatic, but I hope this can be changed. It is a good app. It works well and I’m sure for other people who weren’t lazy using Facebook, it is wonderful.
    But I would maybe shop more if it were more convenient 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • No benefit to using the app over a website

    I downloaded the madewell app because I was tired of having to sign into my account on my phone whenever I wanted to check the status of an order. I’m just someone who can’t remember passwords to save my life and was trying to work around that. The app doesn’t fix that at all - whenever you like “my orders” in the app it just takes you right to safari anyway to make you sign in again. I’m thinking the only point of the app is so it can give you notifications to entice you to spend more money. Another issue I have is that the app absolutely refuses to let me save my sizes for more than one clothing category (ie., tops, pants, etc) at a time.

  • Please fix your app

    Compared to most shopping apps which are fairly seamless these days this app needs major work. It takes 10 seconds just to “like” an item and save it, that should happen instantly. Also your wishlist items are not removed when they are out of stock so now I have to sort though hundreds of liked items to find some that are in stock or manually click on each item to remove if it’s sold out. Not to mention the loading time is very long for an app of a company this big. I would rather just turn on my computer to bring up the Madewell website because it’s easier and quicker on there than the app, which is saying something. Please fix your app.

  • I like it

    Madewell consistently delivers the unique items that are authentically me and allows me to express myself as such. The app makes finding goods especially sale items easily. Basic features like the live button allows me to keep track of my faves and keep and eye out on promotions that may lower the cost. However, it’s not always consistent . Often times I am unable to like reviews and or save items for later because the app seems to be frozen. Outside of that, I really like it here.

  • Dont do it

    i was excited for this app, but it is heavily reliant on the website. I’m not certain what the pros are to having an app that will constantly bring you back to the website - which then has an ad to use the app that doesn’t support the “my orders” function.

    After trying to purchase something last night with my rewards, my purchase would not go through on the app. I awoke to check my accounts and email, hoping the pants (that one had one pair left!) were ordered - but no emails, no charges, an empty shopping cart/bag, However, my rewards are gone.
